Could we go .500+ with a postseason bid??

If they continue improving on the outside shot, then I would say a 500 finish is definitely in reach.

GWU has lost 5 in a row and are 4-6 on the season. BU has won 2 in a row and are 5-4 on the season... and we beat THEM. Therefore, I think we are better than them.

I think that's what he meant, basically any postseason tourney which most likely be a CBI or CIT bid.

Could we finish .500 this year. Possibly, but not likely as we have too many good teams to contend with in the Valley. Even with say a 7-6 non-conference record, it might be a bit difficult to finish 9-9 in the Valley, though 6 or 7 wins are certainly doable, and a nice improvement over last year's 4 wins.

The good news is we should be able to sweep SIU though!

And that may be acceptable for the CBI as Cincinnati got in with a 13-18 record that first year. Don't know if Bradley would be invited being out of the Valley versus the Big East though. But if no BCS teams accept the CBI invites, you never know! I guess that's why a lot of people regard these "EIEIO" tourneys as a joke. It's good to have extra games to work out issues, but they don't mean a huge amount regarding winning the tournament, though it is fun for the players who do win them.

Bradley will have two things in their favor if they have an acceptable record: a new coach with an exciting brand of play, and a fan following and good attendance record that is rivaled by few other teams.

Obviously the attendance factor is huge as the CBI committee is more interested in making money than the actual record. But they still need to invite teams that are capable of at least playing competitive with most of the CBI tournament field.

The CBI already did this four years ago with 13-18 Cincinnati, a team we beat pretty easily at home. So anything is possible.

If they invite 3-28 Chicago St. that draws about 30 people per game, THEN we have a big problem!
