I hope you are right LittleBrave. But, unfortunately, GWU has lost 5 games in a row with 2 more tough games coming up. Might not seem like such a "quality road win" when all is said and done.

Now, don't get me wrong. I think this was a HUGE win for our program as far as confidence and learning to win on the road. I'm excited to see how we build off of this game when we face Drexel.

I remember the VCU win that year for bracket buster. I believe VCU went on to beat Duke in the first round in the 11 vs 6 matchup.

Congrats to the Braves for a road win...... But to compare this to other road wins or even say "it's a big win" is stretching it. Let's remember GWU is another MID-major school and they are currently in 13th out of 14 schools in the Atlantic 10. NOT a "big" win. But something to grow on!

Right. This is not the George Washington of over a decade ago when they were ranked top 5 in the country. But it is a team out of strong mid-major conference and a good way to hopefully get to play more teams out of that conference in the future.

Right now any road win is a big win for us as we had very few wins last year.

Agreed. We won a game we should have won.

it may even be the biggest non-conference road win since, like two full NC-road games ago
when we sneaked by a similar Tennessee-Martin team near the end of last year during our 12-20 season

It's one game..it doesn't define a season....it may be a defining moment in one but that's all. Hopefully we keep getting better as the season goes

Actually GW is tied for first and also tied for last in the A10 as everyone in that conference is 0-0 in league play.

I will call it a good road win. When you are picked last in your league, a league like the A10 and you win on the road, its a good win.

WOW!! Your glass is always half full..... or half empty depending on the topic. They are 13th out of 14 in their Non-Conference standings..... But you knew that. There is no debating you because you are the SPIN DOCTOR in every debate!!

                        You are right B4L - I won't argue that.

But it's sad that "perception is reality" for BCS fans - and we have to play their little game to garner respect. So winning on the road that year at Virginia, being in the ACC (rated #1 Conf in the RPI that year), was probably more impressionable. However, Virginia finished #127 in the RPI while Wright St was #86.

First of all - it was a GOOD win. Any (and every) win is a good win. Cause winning is ALWAYS good. Winning when you should. Winning over easier opponents. Winning ugly. Winning big. Winning when you likely shouldn't. Winning at home in front of fans. Winning on the road. Winning on tv. Winning in tournaments. Winning tournaments. Winning in exhibitions. Winning in the MVC. Winning - it's ALWAYS good.

But let's step back and look at G Wash. (rpi #'s are current only for today) They are ranked 127 in the rpi. They have a home win vs 274 Md-Eastern Shore. They also have neutral floor wins over 280 Detroit and 260 Austin Peay. They have a road win at 252 Bowling Green. They lost at home to 125 Loyola-Md by 10 pts and 61 VCU by 15 pts. They also have road losses at 84 Cal by 27 pts, at 48 Kans St by 13 pts, and at 2 Syracuse by 35 pts.

That's just not something I would brag about as one of the best wins... beating a team with a resume like that right now.

But let's look at Bradley. Currently 115 in the rpi. Beaten 93 UMKC, 249 SEMO, 291 N Dakota, and 161 NE'rn. Losses are to 147 Wofford, 13 Wisky, 89 Nevada, and 74 Wyoming.

                          Hmmmm....

Now... we are picked to finish last. G Washington was picked to finish 8th (of 14 in A10)

Now add to the thought... this is Coach Ford's first Non-Conference road win.

                          Yea!

I think it's a pretty big win. Big!

Big win - and a good win, even though all wins are good.

Even if this woulda been #233 Morehead St from the OVC.

I agree with you 100%. I never called it the best win ever...nor did I rank it on the hierarchy of BU non-conference wins. It was a good win. Just as you say. It was a good win for a team that isn't supposed to be very good.

I never said GW was a good, bad or awful team. It is an team in a similar league to Bradley. My point to Petey was that GW isn't in any place right now in the A10 standings. No one has played a game. I realize facts sometimes confuse people but just trying to make sure everyone knows the score.

Let's see if we can beat a Drexel team that is, by all accounts, better than George Washington.

Besides....shouldn't BU beat George Washington? I mean, its one guy versus five and hes like 300 years old right?
