The home WIU squad responded with a great game and a 64-48 win over the previously 6-2 Panthers....and they drew the biggest crowd (over 1600) in a year, and the 2nd biggest crowd of Molinari's WIU era and the BIGGEST non-conference crowd at WIU in a decade!
WIU is now 4-3 but they SHOULD BE 5-2, as their prior game - a 67-66 loss to South Dakota State was "marred" by a horrible call near the end of the game.
"The contest was marred by a late controversial basket by the Jackrabbits, a
shot that replays later showed should not have counted because the ball was
still in the player's hands as the 35-second shot clock expired."

mainly about the injustice of not being able to review a replay of the shot"
