Wichita is up 45-28 over ranked UNLV with 3 min to go in 1st half

Dayton was beginning to inch closer to the polls... then suddenly they have fallen apart..
They were routed for the 2nd game in a row .. first by Buffalo (84-55) now by Murray State 75-58...
Their fans will soon learn a valuable yet painful lesson about Kevin Dillard's consistency

Wichita State is up big on #18 UNLV in the first half. It's 45-28 right now. Joe Ragland already has hit 5 threes for WSU.

That's huge! If the Shockers can finish things up, this puts them along side Creighton as bonifide at-large contenders out of the Valley this year. And UNI is not far behind these two teams either, but it's a bit early to know how well they will do.

We need a couple of strong teams at the top of the Valley as the bottom of the league is still very weak this year.

Related to Dayton...be very very quiet about it, but pay attention to Murray St. 6-0. No true signature win, but UAB, WKU, Dayton are wins on the schedule, they have 3 true road wins (committees love that stuff) and their signature win chance comes at Memphis next week. Shhhhhh.

And this really helps BU in what manner? Sorry but I am not rooting for the opposition and I guarantee they are not rooting for Bradley.

It helps because when we win the league in 2014 we want perception of the league as high as possible for our seeding.

Wichita wins big over #18 UNLV and early in 2nd half Creighton and Nebraska are battling - 2-pt game

Over in Indiana - IU playing Stetson - was close for a while now IU in a 34 pts blowout...

I think a lot of us are MVC fans in general. I always root for other teams in post-season as long as we're not up vs. them...even the Redbirds (hey, my parents went there)
Yeah, I'm tired of BU not being in the thick of the race, or in at-large talk, but still fun to follow other Valley teams.

I'm sorry. I'm a Bradley fan first and a Valley fan second. If Bradley will not be in contention for postseason this year, then I hope multiple other teams make it to the Big Dance from the Valley. I want to see the Valley become a major conference as much as I want to see Bradley become a consistent winner. I don't see anything wrong with that, and I will root for other Valley teams when they are not playing Bradley as long as Bradley is not in the league race.

Absolutely dead on. If Bradley is having a down year, then you have to root for other MVC teams to succeed, unless they're playing us. It's in the best interest for Bradley to have other MVC teams succeed for prestige, recruiting, chances to play ranked teams, etc... If Bradley doesn't make the tournament in any given year, all of my support goes to whatever MVC team(s) is(are) in the tournament, except for maybe ISU I'm excited by Creighton this year because I think they have a chance to make a real run in the tourney.

An impressive stat line for Wichita State's Joe Ragland against UNLV:
31 points, 8-9 3pt shooting, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and no turnovers in 35 minutes.
