it is time to move on, but it needs to be both sides of the arguement...
Lets quit taking swipes at the players...saying the aren't Div1 players and such
Lets quit taking swipes at JL..like left cupboard bare...seeing the word mediocity is about as good as seeing the word fallout..he is gone..lets get ore itPeoria Toyota Scion

For the record I don't know of too many Valley coaches had the continued success that Dana had. When most had decent runs they moved on to BCS conferences. What he did in the Valley was very rare...get to the top and for the most part stay there

Either way--I agree with you and JD. Talking about stuff five years ago is just ridiculous. The change has been made. Like with most changes in the college game similar to this one it will take some time for the new coach to succeed--if he does at all.
Bradley is not different than any other program in that regard. We can either enjoy the ride and be patient or we can continue to talk about the past, look at every minute detail of why a change was made, etc. Again, like every other coaching change similar one coach lost a job because of poor performance and another guy got the job because of the previous coaches poor performance. Pretty simple.
Onward and upward. As Geno said--this team is giving him all it has right now from an effort standpoint. That is all we should ask for.

Good points...
I would like to add also...Coach Ford has done a good job, at least publicly, of remaining positive and objective. He is looking long-term while many are stuck on the right-now.
This team is climbing a long road. I think the conference games will give a good sample at adjustments the team and coaches can or can't make. When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

When someone is secure in themselves and what they are trying to do they can remain positive and objective with their eyes to the future and having a plan.

That tells me that this current system does not match the makeup of the team and that a player or two is playing way out of position. Why not change things up? We also have a player who is shooting .091 from the three. Yet by the sheer volume of shot attempts, it would indicate that this person has the green light to launch threes????? I am not expecting miracles this year, but I would like to see an experienced staff show me something.

8 years, mediocre record, I get it. Let him go. Tie an arm behind his back and blindfold him, then ask him to finish top 3, then fire him because he doesn't, makes no sense.
I think fans who were not enamored with JL took advantage of last year's circumstances to exaggerate his shortcomings. And it worked.
Great point BNC. I think someone in the adminstration used last year's poor performance due to the injuries as an excuse to get rid of Les based on his previous eight years. Whether people believe it was right or wrong to fire him, they certainly used poor etiquette in doing so after an injury riddled season.

Now your getting the picture. I've gone on record saying it's to bad it came to that but that's what was needed. To early to tell if Geno is the answer but he sure isn't the problem. Its gonna get better.

But of course Altman was a far superior coach than Les was, but that's not a knock on Les. Altman is far superior to the vast majority of coaches in the game now, though we'll see how he does the next year or two at Oregon as well.
