MK wasn't even at the game, so I think I'll give GF a pass on that one!

Other than the five times he gave the opponent the ball.....I agree.

I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised with the way this team has played this year, we are basically a four man team, with none of the newcomers stepping in right away. (Not blaming anyone, it is hard for a freshman to contribute a lot his first year). This is a rebuilding year. The reason Les is gone is that he recruited a roster of mostly athletes, not shooters (With the exception of Dyricus and TB). Athletes are great but if they can't put the ball in the basket consistently the team is not going to win many games. It is going to be a long season but I think we will see improvement next year and the year after.

I would be curious if someone who saw the game tonight saw something different than what I have commented.
I saw much better passing at the Limestone/Pekin game tonight than I've seen from the Braves all season.

I meant shooting with JP, after like 5-25 the last three, I'll take tonight. Oh lol, I didn't even notice MK not being there.....he doesn't play when he is there anyway....where was he?

Happy with 13-16 from the free throw line. Big improvement over the Wisconsin and Nevada games.

Year three is when I expect to see W/L results, when most of the roster is GF's guys. I'll give him that much. Until then, I'd settle for some improvement from game to game. Can anyone tell me they're seeing much of that?

Agreed......it's nice to see AT making all of his foul shots! Other than that, TB and DSE were solid as always and JP was 2-3.

I can agree with this. I said it last year, I was worried about no shooters being on this year's team more than no Pg or big men depth. Until we fill those 3 needs it is going to be a while. We need a few shooters, hopefully with the two recruits and NW, 2 of the 3 will be better next year. We still desperately need a few shooters to be competitive in college basketball, we are a couple of years away. But like you, I would also like to see us improving, and at least trying different things and players in a rebuilding year. Haven't seen much of an exciting offense yet either, but I like GF and trust in time he will get the job done when he has a chance to build.

Not seeing this game, but listening to Dave the entire game, IMO, this game was the worst game that I have seen or heard a Bradley team play in a long time. Hope they put it behind them and give the home crowd a win Tuesday.

For what it's worth, Geno's players didn't score under 50 his last 2 seasons at Kent State. They scored a 51 and 52 but rest were mostly above 65.

He seems to know where to find shooters, we'll see what he can bring in the next couple years. Tyshonn Pickett and Bell looks like a good start. Will need more than that with what we lose this season though.

The more competitive we stay, at least we win some close games even if we lose some heartbreakers along the way. That would at least show people we are closer to turning the corner.
You hit exactly what I am thinking on the head, how can you all of a sudden not be able to shoot the ball, same size ball, baskets same height and yes we are missing wide open shots, has nothing to do with opposing teams defense as they are giving us open shots, decent basketball players should be able to make shots period, coaching staff has good game plans and it is up to the players to start shooting the ball better and quit turning it over so much if you expect to win games

That is exactly correct. I don't know how people thought this team was going to win a lot of games. The overall skill is just not there.

This year was never about W's and L's to me. It's all about change, recruiting, building, etc.

I think we will some games, but it's not going to be easy.

I don't think any of these guys were shooters. Don't confuse the difference between being a shooter and a scorer.

It's too bad about BU's shooting woes.

I know someone making 40% of his 3's and 53% overall while leading his team to first place in one of the nation's top 3 conferences. He knows how to dish out assists too.

I see the spinmasters are out in full force though... Now it was the recruiting all along, wonder what it will be next game.
