I only watched the 2nd half but this was a complete and total mismatch...Baylor won 69-41 but only because much of the last 10 minutes the Baylor stars were on the bench.....
the difference between caliber of athleticism from Northwestern to Baylor was as vast as watching maybe a good-but-not-great HS basketball team play a good D-I team...
Baylor simply didn't miss and got it to the rim anytime they wanted - 46 points in the paint, 25-30 on their 2-pt attempts - a lot of which were dunks...

And even the Big Ten announcers noted that although some had touted John Shurna as a possible 1st round NBA pick -- but against a team that actually has a few NBA-level athletes, Shurna was somewhat ineffective - just 4-19 ..
kind of implying this game went a long way towards pushing Shurna to the 2nd round and possibly foretelling the problems Northwestern might have in the Big Ten

where were those who were claiming Ben Brust was going to be Wisconsin's best player??

he's fallen way off - and had another ofer last night...
He's scoreless in 3 of his last 4 games and averaging only about 5 ppg since before Christmas and shooting under 25% in that span, and 0.75 ppg over the past 3 weeks -- has he hit the wall?

I don't remember anyone making that claim. Nice try though T.

The debate was if Brust was going to see the same type of minutes as he did in non-conference. And up until recently (the last 3 games), Brust was one of the top 6 guys on Wisconsin.

Do you happen to remember what you said about Kyle Kuric? I do.

I hope we don't see the "Take credit for being right- police" get riled up, but I believe I was the one who predicted Brust's playing time and production would drop off in the conference season, and you kind of knocked me for that prediction.

Unless there is an undisclosed injury issue, that is exactly what appears to be happening-

His minutes are way down, and his Big Ten Conference scoring average is 5.8 ppg (and falling) compared with his average in non-conference games of 10.8 ppg.

yes, I recall - I said I wished Kuric would have come to BU instead of walking on at Louisville -
and yet even tho Pitino didn't think much of him for years - he has, as I predicted, become their best player

Matt Roth was 4-4 in a losing IU effort - he should play more...

he is now hitting 58% on the season from beyond the arc and
60% in Big Ten play despite only getting some spot minutes and garbage time...
I know one place where he'd be playing 30 mpg and the fans would be giving him standing "O's"...
