One of the most successful college teams in history is experiencing serious attendance problems.
UCLA just played a home game against Pepperdine and the announced attendance was 3,885, but it was probably much lower than that according to this Rivals article.
They also report only 34 students present at the start of the game.

This should probably be put in context. UCLAs home court of Pauley Pavilion is under repair and not being used this season. As a result UCLA is playing "home" games all over the city of LA. Last nights game was 17 miles away from the UCLA campus.

I'm not making excuses for them but this is hardly a normal year for UCLA basketball.
