2 Big road Wins for the Valley last night.

    UNI 69 Iowa St. 62
Creighton 85 SD St. 83 (of course a bigger win than UNI's)

Creighton still has some tests ahead of them, but if they win 3 of 4, they will be in very good shape.

    CU's Future non-conf. tests:
(AWAY): at St. Joe's (5-2), at Tulsa (4-4)
(HOME): vs. Nebraska (4-2), vs. Northwestern (6-0)
    Opponents combined record:

UNI's resume is off to a strong start despite their loss to St. Mary's, but I attribute that to playing at midnight and being sluggish. Don't know if the NCAA committee would take that into consideration.

    UNI's Future non-conf. tests:
(HOME): vs. Colorado St. (5-2), vs. Wisc-Milwaukee (4-1), vs. Ohio (4-1)

Valley seems to be making strides toward becoming an elite Mid-Major again!

Thanks to those great wins last night by Creighton and UNI, I think we now have at least three teams that could be given at-large consideration should they not win the regular season. Those would be CU, UNI and Evansville. Indiana St. and Wichita St. need to be watched as well, and as I stated earlier, WSU needs that win on Sunday against UNLV. That should be one raucous arena Sunday afternoon!

I'm sorry, did you say Evansville? The same Evansville that lost to a terrible UIC team and got absolutely blown out by Indiana? They have two D1 wins, over an overrated Butler team at home, and a bad Alabama State squad. I'd rank Evansville around 8th in the entire Valley and I think CU, UNI, WSU, InSU, and MSU would all have a greater shot at an at-large bid, although realistically probably only CU would receive one.

I'd feel eons better if someone would frontrun with Creighton right now. This really has the feel of a 4-team NIT season at the moment if we're not careful.

Well, I guess that would be better than the 2-team NIT, 3-team CBI/CIT season we have had the last few years.

Getting the same feeling, though I doubt the NIT would invite 4 from a non BCS conf.
Aside from CU, I think it lies heavily on UNI & WSU to not have bad losses, and contend for the Valley title.
