  • Valley with Strong RPI - 1st 2 weeks

We're at #5 right now. A pretty impressive start to what we're used to the past few seasons.

    Surprises so far?

Evansville looking lack-laster after season opening win vs. Butler
Missouri State undefeated & playing well this early
ISU-red's ability to hang with U of I
    Bradley's unbelievably horrible FT shooting
Drake playing decent without Van Deest
Weems getting off to rough start

wow -- wonder how good the league's RPI would be if we all won those winnable games that we lost by a FT or two...

It's still early, but we see the outlines forming already with the usual suspects getting to the top. Beating out the A-10 and MWC for the #6 spot might be too much to ask though.

Meanwhile, everyone in the CAA is probably in meltdown mode.

If the MVC finishes 8th or better, we're making a comeback as a league.
Maybe we only get 1 team into NCAA, but we may have an At Large lock no matter the results in St. Louis. I think we have 5 teams with NIT or better potential.
