In the off chance anyone is coming up to 7200 feet for the Bradley/Wyoming game, please let me know! I'd like to set up a pregame gathering, and I'd be happy to tell people the places to go in Laramie.

The alumni office has a pre-game party set up before the game at the Hilton Garden Inn in Laramie, which is right across the parking lot from the arena. Details are here:

The Hilton Garden Inn is the hotel the team is staying at.

It's probably the nicest hotel in town, and we go to the bar there at halftime of football games.
I was going to suggest that as a second option to The Library Bar (it's a 5 minute walk from the Arena Auditorium and has very good craft beer). Here's the deal, Wyoming for football, Bradley for basketball.

I'll be at the Library bar with some friends immediately before and after the game, if anyone is interested. It is on Grand Avenue, roughly a 3 to 5 minute walk from the stadium. If anyone wants to know the good places to eat in town, or if anyone wants to know the bars that you could patronize, let me know. Here's the deal, Wyoming for football, Bradley for basketball.

I just got to Laramie as the annual Christmas Parade was happening downtown. It was fun to watch and only consisted of a few hayracks pulled by pickup trucks. Laramie is a very small town that celebrates their cowboy heritage. It also started snowing heavily as we got to town. Tonight is also graduation for the university, so the few hotels are full.
I did locate the Library Bar & Grille at 16th and Grand. I'll have to check out some of the local establishments tomorrow. I think I need to pick up some cowboy boots, jeans, and cowboy hat to fit in here.
