    Dang, that is too bad.

The only good thing about this is that the arena workers and parking attendants are getting back to work.
When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

It's about time. A shortened free agency could be crazy, but there aren't as many huge FAs as last year. I really want to see the Bulls again.

Has anyone seen what the changes will be?

        Agreed completely...

Hope the players had to make big sacrifices on this one. Knuckleheads.

You have to love a country where millionaires are "knuckleheads" and billionaires get a free pass, especially when it was the billionaires imposing the lockout to add to their coffers.

Far too few people are educated about this lockout. The owners had to get something back in this labor agreement. The players had horrible negotiators IMO. Bill Simmons had an excellent podcast on the lockout about a week ago.

Far too often when the subject strays from college basketball, there are far too many ignorant posts on this board. "The only good thing about this is that the arena workers and parking attendants are getting back to work." This statement really displays naivety on this subject. With many of the proposed agreements the mid to lower end players would be taking a giant hit. The top tier players will all be fine with whatever agreement is made as they can get paid well with endorsements.

If the NBA doesn't end up with more teams who have a chance to win and get into the post season, the league will still be in trouble long term.

Better to shrink to 8-12 teams with comparable talent and play around the country...Change the business model. National team loyalties vs local/regional....Teams playing at all current NBA facilities..

FYI, the mescal I'm drinking might be clouding my judgement though!

Without the billionaires the knuckleheads wouldn't be millionaires.

And without the millionaires, the billionaires wouldn't have a basketball product nearly as valuable as the NBA. It's a partnership.

It's also a partnership where one side prohibited the other side from coming to work, which I feel needs to be understood.

It's also worth stating that many people simply jump to conclusions based on the appearance of the parties in play rather than waiting and making an informed judgment. I've heard NBA players called "greedy bastards" and "knuckleheads" in the 15 minutes that I've read things about it today. If you don't think there's a racial/class component at play, then you're out of your mind.
