We played hard and well in stretches..but they are a good team and they have good outside shooters...
we need a couple threats from outside - that would make a world of difference.

We need to feed the post more -- our post players aren't fully developed yet but we need to be aggressive and attack the hoop...
I don't mind the misses down low but at least pick up a foul once in a while..
Pross has shot ONLY 2 FT in the past 2 games - and none last night

Shayok showed some flashes of his ability for the first time. If he could ever keep a handle on the ball it would be really nice. I think by his junior year he'll be one of the top guys in the Valley.

TB showed that he could easily have played for a BCS school.

I like the defensive intensity. They made errors but it wasn't for a lack of effort.
I agree I saw some things that I liked...

TB was a warrior..but needs help and SS showed me he can play vs top competition...
JP had some really nice moves inside vs some of the best players he will see this season...
        DSE looked fine

Love the energy that WL brings, but we do not have anyone creating for other players...

Wisc is one tough team...and they can shoot lights out...

That would be my guess also. DS can shoot the ball he just can't create his own shot.

I agree DS should get some minutes as the only true PG, he has looked pretty decent when he has played this year. I also want MK to play. He is out best chance at a three point shooter, as I do not believe JE can be it watching the last few games. He does a lot of things for us, but I'm not sure that will be one of them consistently. Putting MK in when our offense is struggling won't hurt that much on defense that you cannot do it. Why not try it? We desperately need to take any chance we can to find a shooter on this team. If it is a building year anyway, why not play these two?

I am really worried we won't have any shooters developed in the next couple of years and therefore will not be a tremendous team for a while. 3's are just too important in college ball today. Unless something changes in recruiting this summer I think we are a few years away being a good team again.

MCD what the heck does that mean. I've tried to stay out of this topic but I can't. So many people complaining about our offensive schemes. What schemes. All I see is people coming down the floor and hoisting up a shot. Maybe one pass before a shot maybe NOT. If it's a break ok but that's not what I'm seeing. When we do get into a set we at least get the ball into the post. Thats alot better then our post setting screens 25 feet from the basket and most of the time illegal ones. Someone complained about no one under the basket to rebound. Reason ,we have a shot off before anyone can get down the floor. Alot of times while being contested. I'm not complaining just telling you what I see. Our number one problem and I've said this many times on here and some people have disagreed with me but it is becoming more obvious ,WE NEED SHOOTERS and a mix of people who can run the floor. WE have half of that but, NO SHOOTERS. I like what Geno is trying to do but bottom line we don't have the players to be successful yet. Be patient and they will come.

Very concerned about our offensive sets, too much one pass and isolation for my liking.

Our bigs don't seem to be able to pass the ball into the post very well. Prosser, TB and AT all had turnovers passing the ball to the post.

I'm not against quick shots when they are good shots, it seemed like we took a lot of bad quick shots.

Eastman has to knock down open shots. He is more JJ Tuai than Jeremy Crouch, but the two open 3's he missed in the first half would have been huge.

Need to get better at the free throw line. We are going to have to shoot a lot better than 50%

Do we get to substitute him out on defense? Who exactly will he be "creating" for on this team?

The lack of coherent offensive schemes is what I have been criticizing since game 1. Did you see what Wisconsin did last night? Their players had open shots without rebounders in place, but instead, they passed the ball around in one of their sets to look for a BETTER OPEN SHOT with the team set up on their side of the floor! We made our run toward the end of the first half because Wisconsin got caught up running the ball and hoisting shots which was outside of their designed team sets. That is much more efficient than what we are doing at the current time and it shows in the score. From what I have seen, I think that our players are decent mid-range shooters. Why not devise some schemes to cater to their strengths?

Same here! One assist in the first half should be an alarm to change things!

Wily...just saying that we need to get a few more assists and I would be happy if DStew could get some minutes and create shots for his team mates...not worried about him scoring...get us some assists

I don't know lefty... According to what I'm reading here, Geno has something against him.

Isn't typical though? From a fan's perspective when a team is struggling and people are on the bench we think what can it hurt? We don't think they get opportunities..but they do..in practice. I'm sure there are cases where coaches have something against a player but I would think 95% of the time they will play who they think gives them the best chance to win(other than discilinary issues of course) which of course is in their best judgement too

Agree 100% Assists are few and far between. I was at the game last night and I was complaining about so few of passes to teammates. The guy next to me turns to me and says,"well at least it cuts down the turnovers". Had to laugh but oh so true. It's going to get better. Maybe not this year but it WILL get better.
