Here's an interesting question. I am mad at the loss on an individual game level, but in the aggregate it does not bother me too much. I predicted BU finishes 7th-9th in the MVC, and I still think we will. I am dissappointed in Geno's offensive scheme entirely, but think he is surpassing in what I thought he'd do for the defense; I am dissapointed in the readiness of the freshman to play/Geno's recruiting, but I am happy with the way he subs what he has.

To me it's all about not losing sight of your expectations. It's funny to me, because a lot of the same people 'defending' Geno are the same ones who thought we'd be great(or at least good). Where as the same ones 'attacking' Geno are the ones who thought we would be poor. I find both these stances to be oxymoronic. I think we're going to have down season, but I'm not all over Geno because, well, I expected that. It is going to take some time to be good. I hope it happens this year, and for TB's sake, I really wish we were better, but if we finish 7th-9th this year, 4th-6th next year, and compete the following year (1st-3rd), and at least every other year from then on, always avoiding Thursday, Geno's hire will have been resounding success in my opinion. The biggest thing I want to see this year is the development of a true offensive scheme. SO FAR, I haven't seen that at all, but I'm hoping it's because GF has been focusing on defense, as I've been impressed with that aspect of the team.

A lot of us (maybe over 50% in the poll) thought we'd be 3-3 after 6 games, which is pretty impossible to do if you win the first 4.
I'm ok with a 3-1 start. Last 2 games were kind of ugly, but it was a matter of our guys not making easy shots, and not making FT's. Our attitude should be one of "forget the last game and look ahead to the next. Learn from what we did wrong and continue to fight." We, as Braves fans, must learn to do the same to support this team, which we know is not going to be the cream of the crop this year, but WILL get better!

I have seen a lot of good with the offense actually. If we make more outside shots, which have been pretty much wide open, we do not have this discussion. Our shot selection has been pretty good thus far. In fact, last game, it was decent as far as taking what the defense gives you, but as a player, you gotta' know that if they're not falling from outside, you should work for a better shot closer to the basket.

I thought we'd be 3-1, But I couldn't pick any one game I thought we'd lose. I am disappointed we lost, but even if we lose some we shouldn't I am more or less looking for improvement. especially from SS,JC, and DS.

I don't think we are competing for the championship this year and I know we will have some big lows. I just hope we can shoot well enough not to get totally blown out like UMKC did at Wisconsin.

I thought we would be 4-0 but there is nothing wrong with the offensive sets we are running as we get good shots, had we made our freethrows and kept Wooford off the offensive boards we win last nights game, this coaching staff has not had enough time to improve this team, we need to see how much better we look in January in order to understand what improvements the staff has made toward team and individual players in order to be fair to Geno and his staff.

I was not happy after last night's game - the whole game made me more stressed out than I should have been.
I'm pleased to see many open shots so far, as I thought that lacked last season. It's just guys are not knocking them down as they should. The FT issue - man, just plain ugly!

Combination of two things. I kind of forgot about him, and I figure he is going to redshirt also. But I guess I am not sure. He still has to improve if he redshirts though so point taken.

Would you feel better if we ripped on this kid too? Personally, I don't think we need to criticize any of the freshmen. They seem to be good kids who are freshmen at a rebuilding mid-major program. History shows that most freshmen at mid-majors (especially non-guards) make very little immediate impact. I'd like to see BU fans give both the kids and Geno some time and a chance to show what they can do. If, after 2-3 years we see a trend of poor recruiting and player development then, by all means, criticize away. JMO
