Illinois beat Richmond tonight 70-61 in the Cancun Challenge, played in the ballroom of the Moon Palace Hotel

Meyers Leonard lead Illinois with 22 points. Sam Maniscalco was very good, scoring 19 points, and DJ Richardson scored 15. The other guards for Illinois were mostly MIA. Brandon Paul and Tracy Abrams were scoreless.
