Right, credit Geno for the wins, but not the losses... I thought ultimately everything was up to the HC?

I was very disapointed in the performance of the T-shirt launching canon tonight.

Unless, of course, we make it to the Sweet 16. In that case, it was the assistant coach that got us there.

I don't know anyone who is pining for them, only pointing to the obvious facts. And I see it the other way- those who pretend there wasn't fallout, are not in grasp of reality. I am satisfied this will be a rebuilding process, and will support this team regardless.

Not me. I am in a lower row, and the cannon launches them way too high for us. Because the cheerleaders had to resort to the ancient method of throwing them into the crowd, our row got 3 of them! Maybe I need to find a way to sabotage the cannon for future games.

BTW, speaking of malfunctions, what was the problem with the scoreboard vider screen. The side facing the scorers table had a large blacked-out portion of the screen for the entire night.

Down with the 1% and their endless supply of XL T-shirts left over from previous white-out games!

But seriously, these are still Les players and we have to give Geno a chance to put his own team together.
Good observation as Geno has stated we are short on depth , Wooford beat us tonight because they shot the 3 very good and we did not plus J.P. and T.B. had an off night, need to do a lot better job on the defensive boards as we are giving up too many 2nd chance points, freethrow shooting was not good again and had we made them it would have been another W.

And if you want to believe this group of freshmen will contribute this year as much as a talented juco would, then go for it. But that's ludicrous. I am willing to be patient and give the new staff time, but there is no chance this year will be as successful as it would have been if everyone returned.
And nowhere have I ever "knocked our freshmen", but nice try.
I look at it differently DC...it's not fallout..it's a fact of life when you change coaches....there was no guarantee that we were going to be a good team this year with JL and his players....maybe we would have it's hard to tell...based upon history you could make an argument that we might still be middle of MVC on down....maybe we would have been top 3 in the Valley but again based upon previous history it was doubtful..

Geno did well at KSU.....for all we know if those players would have come to BU maybe they would have done better playing for Geno than JL....it's more and more apparent that recruiting is a crapshoot for mid-majors

I can accept all that, lefty, but this year's team is shorthanded because of what happened. That's all I am saying. Fans will just have to accept that, and unless we get some quick contributions from the freshmen, it could take a while to get back to where we would have been.

I don't want excuses, and I don't want an explanation, I just want to firm stance from the coach, team, and administration that they are doing everything they can to avoid losses like this at home. GF sounded like he was almost ok with tonight. You may be fine with this Mr. Ford, but I am not.
Is this guy serious? He serious isn't he?

It's one loss, the opponent shot absolutely lights out all night, and our guys had an off night. Simple as that. It's hardly worth placing the fate of the entire program on just one game. Lighten up.

Plus, it's Geno's FOURTH game as coach. Unless he's somehow related to Jesus or Tim Tebow, chances are he isn't going to be a miracle worker and take this team from a last place team to a first place team overnight. These things do take time you know.

                          Good post lefty.

Do you really think it will take awhile Da Coach? Define "awhile". I think we will be back to a 4th place level in the MVC within 3 years, just look at WSU and MSU when they made coaching changes. I don't call the coaching change "fallout" because I think the fallout was slowly occurring over the past few seasons. I look at the coaching change as new hope.... hope that we can FINALLY get back to the level that BU was at during much of the 80's and part of the 90's.

if anyone would have predicted we'd be sitting at 3-1 on Thanksgiving - I have to suspect most of our fan base would have said --
and "OK, I can live with that"....and yet here we are and we got complainers!!!

Plus we have several players doing very well - among the Valley leaders - but just as we ALL KNEW - we do not have depth...
The mere fact that at one stretch in this game in the final 2 minutes of a tight game we've got Milos, a freshman, and a walkon all playing...
                            proves our lack of depth......

Maybe it goes back to the same old issue -- people sometimes just cannot enjoy a game without being demanding and requiring perfection...
I thought the kids battled and played hard -- some had bad games, and their one guy had a career game - it happens

Come on, you cannot deny that he was absolutely snake bitten with critical injuries in his tenure with Bradley. I never understand why people say you cannot use injuries as an excuse...it becomes a reason you win or lose a game. If Taylor Brown went down again this season for this team how many of us would just drop our heads in disgust saying "here we go"? If that's not an indicator that EVERYONE knows the effect of injuries I don't know what is, and if you say injuries shouldn't be used as a reason you are a liar. To an extent injuries may not be used but when guys like TB, JCrouch, DRuffin, SM and the likes, STARS of your team, go down and have to be replaced by bench players....if you don't see that as an issue then you're crazy.

The man probably lost over half of his total production last season. Now don't get me wrong I'm fine with Geno and I think he could do a good job, but dang it wasn't like JL was the worst coach ever.

I don't care if everybody left. Les had to go. It will take Geno a while to dig out of the hole that they are in, but other than the Sweet 16 run the Les era was a disaster that went on too long. After the endless T's, the ISU Red sweep, and numerous L's in the final seconds, how could anybody think that Les was going to stay? The 800 people that go to UC Davis games will find out soon enough...
Agree 100% with your post. I liked JL as a person but your post echoes my feelings. You forgot one important part regarding the Sweet 16 run. I believe we had a guy by the name of CB who I give alot of that credit to . I'm not totally dicounting Jim had anything to do with it because he did, but I think no CB no Sweet 16. We'll never no JMO. Things will be better. Be patient
