    Bad, bad, bad, bad

Arizona State also loses, at home, to Northern Az University on a last second '3' last night...

ASU MBB Coach Herb Sendek did get a contract extension this past week though...Needs more time to turn the program around.

At least Oregon lost to a competent Virginia team.

Utah is the worst power conference team in the nation, by a wide, wide mile.

Some of our fans could learn a lesson from Utah fans on patience with a new coach....
Utah is rebuilding and here's alittle more on how they ended up so bad - and it is definitely NOT all the fault of their new coach...

The previous coach there at Utah ran off many of their best players starting in the spring of 2010---

"...(Previous BU recruit Marshall Henderson bolting) .."marked the fifth player who has left the program since the season ended in disarray"..

then finally in April of 2011 - they fired Boylen and hired Kryskowiak...but things have only gotten worse...and of course Krystkowiak is going to have some trouble recruiting because he had no lead time and a large percentage of kids - especially big city eastern kids - just don't particularly wanna go to Utah.

-immediately after Krystkowiak was introduced as the new coach, the best player by far - their returning scoring and rebounding leader Will Clyburn - asked to be released and left...and is transferring to the new Transfer U. = Iowa State.

-Then their 2nd best returning player - a kid who was returning from an all-conference freshman year - JJ O'Brien - he also asked out and transferred to San Diego State.

-that left Utah with only FOUR returning players!!

-Then senior 7-footer David Foster - perhaps the best among the returning post players - broke a bone in his foot, had surgery and has been out all season

-returning PG Josh Watkins - who is also their top scorer - got himself suspended after several team violations ...

-returning Chris Hines (from Klein Forest HS) broke a rib and partially dislocated his elbow, missed one game and 4 starts and HE HAS ALSO yet to play healthy this season....but is still averaging 25 mpg & 8 ppg

-then they have gotten off to a horrible 1-8 start but ...
to say they have had some turmoil since Krystkowiak took over is understating it...

BTW -- they broke their losing streak with a win over Idaho State
and the fans & coach are still quite upbeat...

more proof the Pac 12 is very weak..

-one of their best teams, Oregon, struggled to barely get by Prairie View A&M (4-8 ) last night -- PVA&M had only beaten ONE D-I team thus far - a 53-50 squeaker over Stephen F. Austin (who have only 2 D-I wins)

-Arizona State loses again - this time at home to Fresno State, who were just4-8 with one of their wins over The Academy of Art - LINK

For the 3rd game in a row ASU loses a game in which the opponent makes a last shot. Thus time though ASU had time to get off a desperation shot but missed. They are bad.

they'd probably be better with Corey Hawkins and Dodie's little bro

..anyway -- wonder if Chanse Creekmur is having 2nd thoughts -- he turned down solid offers from other schools - especially mid-majors...
then committed, de-committed, committed again, then decommitted again just to keep moving up the ladder
and play the system in order to land higher each time...finally cashing in on the Arizona State offer thinking he'd play a bunch and be a big time player.

Hasn't turned out that way -- he's getting less and less playing time as it becomes more obvious that even on a talent-depleted Arizona State team, he just can't compete at that level.
In the end he'd be better off heading back to some midwestern mid-major - and dominate the way Doug McDermott is doing...

I disagree entirely. If he can't play at ASU, he couldn't even compare to McDermott who is the best player on an excellent team.

he's not playing all that poorly - he's just being utilized poorly and I think he could do very well in a different system

he's a 6-7 kid being used as a spot 3-pt shooter - who rarely ever turns the ball over (7 turnovers in 212 min)
and who hits about 34% on 3-pointers but only gets 2-3 shots per game with nobody passing him the ball.

Even more turmoil at Arizona State

Pac-12 conference RPI is well below the MVC's

Creekmur played 39 minutes Saturday night due to the depleted roster. Took 7 shots, all 3 pointers making 4.

Creekmur again played 39 minutes and was 8 for 9 from the field including 6 for 7 from 3point range and scored 24 points as ASU beat Oregon St last night.

Last night in an embarrassing road loss to Colorado, Creekmur played 34 minutes and was 0 for 5 from the field, all 3 point attempts.

The annual departure of players from Herb Sendek's Arizona State team has begun...
Chase Creekmur already said he's leaving...
Now -- Kyle Cain is leaving - he's from Illinois - and was actually one of the players getting playing time..
Maybe now Chris Colvin can get a few minutes of playing time..
The list of players bolting ASU include Corey Hawkins, Brandon Dunson, and includes roughly 15 players over the past four years

Sun Devils fans want a new coach...
