Pretty early for a Valley team to be ranked. When was the last time that a Valley team was in the Top 25 this early in a season?

Was it SIU in 2007-'08?

Creighton has a pretty easy non-conf. schedule so they needed to take care of bizness yesterday, and they need to do the same vs. N'western & Nebraska at home, while splitting their other 2 competitive games, @ S.D. State & @ Tulsa.

Did anyone else catch that the Iowa Hawkeyes (who are pretty awful in bball) were 1.5 favorites over Creighton on a neutral court in Des Moines yesterday.

Well we know how that result went.

If I was a betting man that would have been the lock of the year to take Creighton + 1.5.

as we are always told - it's awfully early - indeed note that Illinois is getting votes in both polls despite being picked as low as 8-9th by some in the Big Ten

Who cares. Glad to see the Valley getting some respect early on. Too bad Wichita St. couldn't hold up their end of the bargin. Time for someone else to step up. Maybe us!

It's early, but glad a Valley team got recognized early for a change. We'll take it as long as possible.
