So - who is leading all of college basketball in scoring?

Well...

The MVC's scoring leader is Doug McDermott at 21.5 ppg but that's not even Top 30 nationally in D-I - TB is 3rd in the MVC at 18.7 ppg

The nation's best player in D-I is Texas' J'Covan Brown at 29.3 ppg...

BUT the nation's leading college scorer is...(talk about up-tempo basketball)..
Griffin Lentsch of D-III Grinnell College who is averaging 89 points per game - seriously!

Not difficult to rack up that many points in Grinnells offense. Its still an amazing feat but the way that they chuck up 3's is unreal!

It's actually very odd for anyone player to score that much more than his teammates for any length of time in the Grinell offense. The Grinell offense is usually used when the overall talent is not good on the team, it focuses on running a VERY fast paced offense subbing EXTREMELY often to stay fresh and completely disrupt the other teams gameplan. It isn't any offense that will be used by talented it teams, but it creates a game where either team can win, and a lot of times that is better odds than a team would normally have...
