That's for sure. Good luck JC, you will always be one of my favorite Braves and I hope someday you might find your way back here if you so choose. Congrats on your first win, keep it up.

Illini Bluffs wins the Peoria Heights tourney with a 3-1 record. Sophomores also won the Peoria Christian tourney. Once again, no one I spoke to while attending all four games that IB played knows anything about any issues and it appears that JC is doing great. Guess I'll just wait to see what the news coverage of our "issues" will be.

Hmmm... that's odd -- you say you were there??

Because the PJ Star says it was Peoria Christian who captured the Peoria Heights Tournament Title

"Peoria Christian captured the 34th annual Peoria Heights Thanksgiving
tournament with a 43-28 win Saturday over Deer Creek-Mackinaw.
The boys basketball tournament win was the Chargers (3-1) first since 2008."

I actually don't know as I was not there - but we need to get a resolution to this discrepancy.

It seems both Illini Bluffs and Peo Christian went 3-1. Might Peo Christian have been awarded the tournament title on point differential?

Not odd. I was there. IB was 3-1 and Peoria Christian was 3-1. IB won the head to head battle. They were presented the trophy. The PJS was dead wrong. Maybe they're part of the conspiracy.

I have always said whenever there's a discrepancy involving the PJStar - then it's the PJS who made the error - you are right IB won the tourney..
As I said -- JC is well liked - but answer the question I posed eight posts back..
what happened to the past two coaches and were there any parent concerns coming out of that??

Most everyone in our district knows why the last two guys were removed from their coaching position. The first was due to some illegal activity involving a student where the coach was arrested. The most recent was not as cut and dried, but involved off court issues as well. Not really any mystery to any of that. It has zero bearing on JC. If someone is implying favoritism because his uncle and wife work in the district, they are also barking up the wrong tree.

the "bearing" it has is not with JC and I never said it did -- go back and read what I said...
the issues are with the process and the selection of people - as the process has obviously failed more than a few times

In fact I just read this today..
"A petition is currently underway to have the Board President of the Illini Bluffs School Board
removed for his position on mandatory random drug tests for teachers without cause.
                    "

and it does have a remote connection to the last basketball coach

I understand Jeremy is coaching at IB (with his friend Kevin Jones) but what school is Jeremy teaching at?

Well he is not listed on the teachers page. I thought I remebered hearing he would finish his student teaching in the fall at another school. So maybe he starts at IB after Christmas? I am not sure.

Crouch said he will student teach this fall semester at Lincoln High.

This would not be surprising, must secondary ed majors need the extra semester to student teach because of all the requirements. Since he went to play oversees after Bradley, he probably never did it.
