  • 3 MVC games Sunday Nov. 20

There are 55 games involving D1 teams, and 3 involve MVC teams Sunday, Nov. 20

Iowa (3-0) plays Creighton (3-0) in Des Moines at the Wells Fargo Center at 3:00 PM

Temple (2-1) plays Wichita State (2-1) at 4:30 PM in the Puerto Rico Tip Off tournament

Northern Colorado (0-2) plays at Northern Iowa (1-1) at 5:00 PM

And don't forget Marcus and Amani Pollard continue in The Amazing Race on CBS tonight. It is scheduled for 7:00 PM, but will start tonight 1 hour after the end of the Bears telecast (CBS 60 Minutes airs for 1 hour before The Amazing race). There are now just 5 teams left, and the Pollards have as good a chance as any of them for the $1 million prize.
Here is a recap of last week's show.-

The Creighton game is on the Big Ten Network.

Given the loss to Alabama, I would characterize Wichita's game today as somewhat mandatory for legitimate at-large chances.

If this game was in Omaha, I think Creighton wins it. Though officially it's a neutral court, the Wells Fargo Arena in DesMoines will be mostly Iowa fans, so I think it will be a toss up.
It should be a good game to watch. Iowa has won all 3 of their games by big margins (Chicago State, NC A&T, and NIU), but they haven't really been tested.

Creighton should win...the team picked to win the Valley should always win against a team picked 10th or 11th place in the Valley. The crowd will favor Iowa but Creighton did sell a lot of tickets for the game.

I agree that it's a huge game for the Shox today. Can't underestimate importance of a Creighton win today too. Every game for that matter that involves these 2 teams will carry a lot of weight toward At-Large hopes.

Oh definitely! Temple would still be a very solid win for the Shockers, and would put them in the discussion should they finish in the top 2 of the Valley.

Yes they are. I don't know how good Iowa will be, but a Creighton win against them would help. They play three BCS teams this year, but not one of them screams NCAA Tournament contender. Out of the three, Northwestern of all teams may have the best chance of making the Big Dance this year. Creighton has some solid mid-majors on their schedule too, but we all remember that didn't matter a few years ago on Selection Sunday either!

The drive between Omaha and DSM is one of the most boring 2.5 hour rides in the country

It would be interesting, and thanks for the invitation, but I'll be watching the Bears.

You were right, but I don't think many would have predicted such a one sided blowout.
Creighton leads 80-50 with 3 minutes left.

That was a pretty disappointing overtime for Wichita State. GOTTA win these games guys! The Shockers are supposed to be one of the elite Valley teams, but unless they beat a Temple or UNLV who is still upcoming, they are going to have to earn their way into the tourney via St. Louis. Oh well. They better get that UNLV game.

Or maybe we beat Wisconsin and get the at-large bid ourselves!
