Saw some of the game vs Michigan...Billy Molinari was playing well, but appeared to hurt his knee...in a lot of pain...WIU was giving Mich all they could handle.....

WIU was actually in position to tie or win but fell 3 points short and lost to Michigan

Sadly, Billy's knee injury looks serious....Coach Jim Molinari said
"it looks like a torn ACL."
Billy's already lost two years - one to redshirt and one to injury

Is it the Bradley "curse"? Mo lost most of his starting lineup to injuries last season.

What a shame for Coach Mo to lose his son to injury again. I hope it is not as serious as it sounds.

What can you say. Some teams sometimes don't have luck on their side. It happens to every team at one time or another.

After WIU's big win over league rival NDSU Coach Molinari had a great line about one of his players..calling him a phrase I have never heard before...

"Terell (Parks) is a warrior," said Leathernecks head coach Jim Molinari.
"He's a stats-nugget. He scores, he made a great shot and he had 15 rebounds..."

          also...
"For Parks, Thursday's game marked his third straight double-double, and his fourth in five games.
"I think that's what our team has to look like," Molinari said. "That was Western Illinois basketball.
Our identity is that we're going to defend, and that's exactly what we did."
Bison guard Lawrence Alexander led all scorers with 16 points, but was just 5 of 14 from the floor."

their admin knows last year was devastated by 7 serious injuries - just about every key player went out...
and they see he is building with quality kids who play hard and are headed towards inprovement

                sounds good

A very successful high major D1 coach told me one time "Nice kids will cost you your job sooner or later". Not saying I agree or disagree with that statement but it has always stuck with me.

there've been some coaches who lost their job over bad kids, too, and unproductive kids...oh well......

You can't keep unproductive kids around. That will cost you your job.

Nice vs quality...adjectives are tough to translate in the world of sports...

Please! You're telling me gerry that 7 major injuries would not cause great coaches to lost games? Yeah, right!

Coach K finishes in last place in the ACC if Duke loses its 5 starters and 2 top reserves to injuries in the same season. Let's use a little common sense here!

The key is having more good character kids than not IMO

Yeah, but don't forget WIU didn't recruit Lawrence Alexander.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

I am not so sure of that as I sat right next to Mo when he was at a few Manual games

...BTW -- Lawrence Alexander had another 8 assists last night - he is averaging 12 ppg, 6 assists per game & shooting 50%
...and WIU drew over 1000 last night -- I know that doesn't impress a lot of BU fans, but they don't do that very often..
