Northern Iowa's Nate Buss suffered a broken arm during a workout today and will miss at least three months. Beat writer Mark Emmert reported this on twitter not long ago.

the NCAA requires both lost years to be due to injury or circumstances beyond control - so if he voluntarily redshirted last year - then it's a longshot....
and I recall coach Ben Jacobson saying Buss was going to redshirt last year
