  • Question on Jake

I sat in section 117 last night and was appalled to listen to a group of 3 people destroying JE, every time he touched the ball.

Is there something I am missing here??

I think Jake works his butt off and contributes in many many ways. I think he is a glue-guy or jack-of-all-trades type. I think good teams become great when they get guys like this who can do a little of everything.

Just wondering what others thought. Even my wife couldn't believe the *****s behind us.

If people were observing the game and not just watching for the stats plays (points, rebounds, steals) they would know that JE had a great game last night. He hustled at least as much as anybody on the floor. He was tipping balls, fighting for rebounds and loose balls, etc.....things that don't show up in the stats but things that coaches should see and the casual observer will not.

Wow... just wow... As you may have seen from my posts, I am not thrilled with what I have seen from Geno so far, but from what I have seen, I would never criticize Jake! Those people sitting behind you are *****S!

It was a word that starts with an "I" that questioned the intelligence of the people who sat behind JD.

I bet they are some of the same people who walked out with stacks of floor peices. BTW, I didn't get one and I bought four tickets for my family.

Jake is the type of player every coach wants and every team needs as he is fundementally sound , he does everything and is a pleasure to watch, some people have no clue as to what makes a good player, I would like to have one more player on the team that does what Jake does night after night.

I'm betting these were younger guys... in my experience it's the young guys who actually think they could do better that sit and make fun and spew nonsense about the guys who are busting their butts out there. Jake is and will be a key component to any BU success over the next two years. Book it!

Probably since the day he got here, I've been saying he's the smartest player we have!

Here's further proof of his value to this team.....

???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

those guys must think every college team has what Kentucky has in regards to talent...

but Jake is precisely 100% of what college basketball is all about -- kids with some talent but great attitude & effort...

Couldn't agree more. I was stunned. Even after he made a shot or a good hustle play...they would say they couldn't believe he was still in there.

Glad to see everyone here agrees the JE is an important part of this squad!
