All I can say is WOW! Very exciting game and great team effort to pull off a win. SEMO is a very talented team and we did just enough to get a great win! Atmosphere was electric when we made that late push. As a season ticket holder I had doubts about this game being on campus but after this game I for one am all for doing one game a year at the RC.

    GO BRAVES
And as many other people have said A+ to the students great job. Really hope to season another good group of students Saturday vs. North Dakota.
If you cant go to school go to STATE!!

Something that is becoming apparent with this team under the coaching of Geno Ford- despite not being a very good perimeter shooting team, we have enough guys who can go 1 on 1 against defenders and create high percentage shots. That is a credit to several of the players who returned (TB, DSE, WL, JE, and JP), and to freshman Shayok Shayok. Geno seems to have enough confidence in these guys to allow and/or encourage a lot of individual 1 on 1 play. So far it's working. Usually you will not see a team score nearly as many points as we keep scoring with such a small number of assists. But I think we'll need to improve the defense to have success as the season progresses.

        Agreed re: defense.

Also, on the Woods insertion - I think Sims-Edwards' ailing leg probably had something to do with this.

Got a chance to speak with Flash before the game. Great to see him sporting a BU polo.

Great job by Charonn Woods guarding Marcus Brister, who launched the final shot.

Could Woods deserve more playing time?

Anyone know why Geno would put Charonn Woods in to guard the shooter on that last play with 4 seconds left??
If that guy makes the game winner - how you gonna explain guarding the shooter with your 5-10 walk on?
Heard Coach Ford state on the post game show that CW was the smartest (4.0) player he had and was the one he had the faith in to do exactly what he did and that was turn the player to his left and stay in front of him.

Geno credited Charonn with "winning us the game" when he spoke with Snell after the game. He also said he told it to the team in the locker room. He obviously felt Woods was a better defender in that situation. No knock on Stewart. He is just a freshman and is not a good defender. Geno knows this and would have been seconded guessed by everyone.

Geno also addressed Charonn's impact on the last play during his postgame press conference. It will be an interesting watch when we get it posted on BradleyBraves.com.

First the good: #1. The atmosphere was terrific. The students provided great energy. #2. Great game. Both teams never let up all the way to the end. #3. Tradition. It was great to see the of lot of the 81-82 NIT Champs in the house. #4. Cheap food. 50 cent hot dogs are never a bad thing though they could have been warmer. Second the bad: #1. Parking. I know with how everything's structured around the campus it's unavoidable not to have parking issues but it would have been nice since the administartion already knew they'd be hosting a men's b-ball game that they would have made the parking deck a little bigger. Fortunately I got to the deck at about 6:30 so I got a place to park but my wife, who got their 15 minutes later because of work, didn't get in. The problem with that is once the lot was full their should have been baracades put up or at least campus police directing traffic away from the deck. If this had happened they would have found a place to park a lot sooner than she did and wouldn't have come in at the 10:00 minute mark. #2. No floor boards. It would have been nice to have gotten some of them. Third the ugly: The seats. Quite possibly the worst seats I've ever tried to sit in. These seats were not made for fat people or short people. My wife's feet didn't reach the floor and as for me and my 280 pounds I couldn't sit back as I felt like a sardine and by sitting up gave me some nasty belt marks around my waste. Before I'd come back to another game I'd have to check out some other seats to see if they are any better. Great game by the Braves. Clutch field goal and free throw by Taylor at the end of the game. Looking forward to the next game and my regular seat.

Sorry you had a couple problems Jimmy.

In case anyone missed seeing the ending of the game, someone has already loaded a cellphone video onto YouTube. This includes the final scoring play by Taylor Brown to tie the game, his free throw to give Bradley the 66-65 lead, then the final 4.6 seconds with SEMO missing their last shot-

Bradley will have links to the highlights and post-game press conference by tomorrow morning in the box below the photo on this page-

The Southeast Missouri State men's basketball team had a golden opportunity to notch a nonconference road win Wednesday night. But Bradley scored a conventional three-point play with 4.6 seconds left to stun the Redhawks 66-65 in Peoria, Ill.
