BU shoots 55% and SEMO shoots 48% with a ton of layups (we gotta get better at stopping those).
Eastman with 5 assists, Lemon with 4.
Shayok with a couple huge threes in the second half, and Bradley finishes 5-12 (42%) from three.

5 BU players in double figures.
We must of played fairly decent "D" because they were shooting 56% for year and shot over 50% against Mizou if I heard Snell correctly while on th the way to the game. Powell is leading the nation in field goal %, I believe, again this year and w/ all of the layups he had I can see why. We won't IMO see many post players this year any better down on the block then that young man. (wish he was here)
It was a great game and so much fun to watch the students standing and cheering the whole game.
Red sea you were awsome-keep it up.
It was loud which made it a lot of fun.
Not very many left early (except for the old couple-not me-that ran off w/ a huge stack of floor pieces (probably had 8-10) depriving others at the game to not be able to get a piece.

Sorry for the delay, crazy hectic night. Here's the game recap story:

PEORIA, Ill. ? Taylor Brown converted an old-fashioned 3-point play with 4.6 seconds remaining, lifting Bradley to a 66-65 win versus Southeast Missouri State Wednesday night at Renaissance Coliseum.

Here's to a big thank you for the students who attended the game tonight! What a great atmosphere!!! A game like tonight is what college basketball is all about and is proof positive that Bradley needs to be more inclusive with their fan base. Great job students. You rocked the house!

Good win Braves. Congrats Geno and the boys.

SEMO isn't a bad team--as good as some in the MVC I think.

Taylor can really score. Nice to see a senior take over the game late. Prosser looks SOOO much better this season. He is stronger yet quicker and jumps better. He is going to have to play a lot.

Coachdude--Im with you. Good to see what we've heard so much about in Shayok. Nice to see Walt rebound and have a solid showing tonight.

Looked like a fun atmosphere. Let's get North Dakota next.

You are right on...this is the only thing about tonight I am a little disappointed in--not that I didn't get a floor piece, because I alread have several I bought last year, but that few other fans got one. The floor pieces were stacked in the lobby and no one attended them. A tiny number of people left early and some took off with bundles of the pieces each. Before the game was even over, and virtually everyone was still in their seats, every piece was already gone.
Too bad most others didn't get one of the souvenirs.

These official stats differ slightly from the stats on some other unofficial sites..
They did not shot badly - over 48% but we shot well over 50%
Jordan with 15/8 so his averages are 13.5 ppg & 12.5 rpg - not too bad!

and BP don't know how you do it but the story is up and even photos are there from the game
and it's been only 1/2 hour or less!

Anyone know why Geno would put Charonn Woods in to guard the shooter on that last play with 4 seconds left??
If that guy makes the game winner - how you gonna explain guarding the shooter with your 5-10 walk on?

That was a fun game. I was lucky enough to sit directly below Snell, so I got my own personal commentary for the game. It was great to see all the positive contributions:

DSE - kept us in the game in the first 12 minutes when everybody else seemed to be out of synch

JE - once again, tons of hustle plays, a nice 3-ball at a key juncture, active defense, and a nice pass on the 2nd to last offensive possession...it should have resulted in 2 pts for Prosser, but he was called for a BS charge. I just watched the replay and it was a bad call, plain and simple.

JP - he looks bigger, stronger, faster, and a better jumper than last season. And is doing a great job finishing at the basket. He has a chance to be the best Big at BU since Bayo Akinkunle.

TB - was the focus of the defense all night and put the team on his back in the last 5 minutes when it really mattered

WL - great on-ball defense, kept Brister from penetrating in the 1st half, but didn't guard him much in the 2nd half

Charonn - clutch defensive play against one of the best offensive players we will see in the pre-season

I was going to pick up a piece of the floor on the way out...when I saw a lady with 5 or 6 pieces I was wondering....yep all gone...oh well...

There were some batches of seats open but I'd say it wasn't far from 4300..
Thank you students for that tremendous turnout -- that saved the "season ticket base" from an embarrassment --
There were also a lot of people who don't come often and who just wanted to be there for the event and to see the 1981-82 team -- so all in all probably only 2500-3000 season ticket holders there....far less than the number who hold season tix downtown - just as predicted
Even after a night when the Braves could have folded, but came back and won, the stirring has started by the usual stirrer. Why should the season ticket base be embarrassed? This wasn't on the season ticket package. This game was scheduled at the gym so more students would get involved. If all the season ticket holders would have tried to get tickets, the students would not have been able to find time to come at the last minute. Give it a rest.

College students like cheap things, and this game was the perfect storm for that.
Congrats to the players and coaches for a great game tonight! Way to hang in there! Keep it up on Saturday night!

Regarding the students, keep giving them discounts and they will come. Winning consistently helps too, but that will come soon.

Fastest player on the team besides WL. But you're right, true gut call and I'm glad it worked out.

Brister was scorer but certainly not a shooter. I think Woods was in to stop the drive, or at least the rush up the court that happened in the first half and led to a SEMO last second bucket. Brister scored almost exclusively on patient drives to the hoop. He was 1 of 5 on ft's and didn't look to have much of an outside stroke.

Enjoyed tonight. Let's do it again.

Was going to say "hey" before the game but you got out of the Braves Club before I knew it.
