  • Now That's What I Call Basketball!

Good game, exciting, we pulled it out and for the first time in a long time we weren't on the wrong end of a nailbiter! This team doesn't quit as DS said, I'm looking forward to listening to a season on Bradley Basketball! I'll be home for the next two, really thinking about going to see a so far undefeated BU Braves!
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!

Speaking of Donivine, did he even play tonight? I know Crawford played quite a bit but don't recall seeing DS at all. Hope it was discipline related.

Haha, I was meaning Dave Snell hahaha. I didn't notice DS out, I can't believe he'd get into discipline problems, such a nice kid.

I believe he played VERY briefly in first half. Walt played REALLY good tonight and SEMO was quick. I'm guessing Geno just stayed with the guys who were hot.

Geno may just look like a genius if this whole Walt as PG thing works out. Was it just me or did Walt show some flashes and resemblance to the old Willie Scott?

I know DS played in the first half because he checked in at the same time as JC. I don't remember him playing much though.

Have to disagree with some statements here as I think that our offensive sets suck! I am still wondering if we will set a ball screen for Shayok????? Starting in the first half, I concentrated on watching Shayok as I thought this was a good mismatch for us. I didn't see one baseline ball screen for SS!

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

We have offensive sets? Les would have LOVED drawing up that ally oop for Shayok coming out of the timeout or to open the game. I hope Geno draws this up sometime.

I would love to see what Shayok could do with some designed plays his way. Remember I compared him to a young Mithcell Anderson earlier this year. Not saying SS will be as good as JJ, but it is clear SS will be a difference maker for us in the future.
