Great win! The stats show how Bradley dominated the action for most of the match. Corner kicks were 10-0 in favor of Bradley, and shots were BU 20-LU 11. Loyola played tough for a team that is 7-12-2, but it was one of the best games Bradley has played this season.
Did BU get away with a hand ball right on front of the goal near the end of the game?
The Loyola coach sure thought so...but the camera view couldn't show for sure...they were given 3 RED CARDS arguing about....
I thought the guys who did the announcing were good!
I was watching from the side right at the goal line and I did not see a handball. Regardless whether there was one, if the referee didn't see it, has there ever been a case where a team can argue strongly enough to change a referee's mind? I thought the officiating was good, but I did notice the referee tended to stay a little farther out toward midfield when the play moved down close to either team's goal that most referees do.
It looked like a handball to me on the video, but I couldn't be sure. If I couldn't be sure after watching replays over and over then it is certainly understandable how an official might have missed this. It's part of the game where missed calls and bad calls can potentially happen throughout. To say this one play decided the game is just wrong. The Loyola coach needs to get over himself and show some class; they were thoroughly dominated by BU!
