  • Kansas does it again

How about that?! The number three team in the country losing to a team from the lowly Mid-Continent Conference! (Oral Roberts over Kansas 78-71)!

Aaah parity, you gotta love it!

That's kinda explicit late night talk, isn't it?

I LOVE IT! Wonder what Bill E Packhead thinks about this?

Box score- ORU 78 Kansas 71--

Oral Roberts' point guard, who had 8 assists and 12 points in 37 minutes, is the kid that started at Wichita State. He left and transferred to ORU. He is having a great year. He never shot the ball at Wichita, but is averaging over 10 ppg and 6.5 apg.

A couple things stand out, most the comment in the Recap about how they repeatedly missed easy shots.
I have said this before, that Kansas recruits great athletes, but they really don't have good shooters!
This is going to happen again this season....guaranteed.
Julian Wright 6 turnovers, KU had 18 TO as a team.
Their new all world PG Sherron Collins only played 11 minutes, wonder why?
Kansas only 2-10 from 3-pt, but ORU was 11-19.
Bill Self used to coach at ORU, but ORU led the whole way in this game.
PS-there are some pretty funny threads on the Jayhawks board!

I love watching Bill Self suffer....traitor.....this makes up for all the recruits you stole from us(Illinois). Prediction: Self is out at Kansas within the next two years.

If they can't get past the Sweet Sixteen, agreed! Heck, let's see if they can win a game in the tourney first!

I can quickly name 3 teams I like seeing do well (unless Bradley is playing them):

                    Iowa, Tennessee, and Kansas

So I hope Coach Self gets things turned around and has a great year.

Well, make it 4 and add Indiana to the list

Mac, your four teams are also my four favorites, except that I have a fifth favorite that maybe you should folow, too.
I really like seeing New Mexico doing so well with all the malcontents that have transferred there.

Bill Self is blaming everything on his players--

I lived in Albuquerque for a couple years. I loved it there. I was there when UNM had a good team. The Pit would sell out and it was awesome. Dave Bliss would go to a sports bar up in the NE of the city called Spectators. I would hang there at times. So one quiet night after another blow-out of some creampuff, a buddy took me over to Coach Bliss and introduced me as a big college hoops fan from the Midwest. He asked who my favorite team was and I started to say he may not know much about them.... then I remembered he and Molinari coached together the year before for a US 17-under team in the PanAm games or something. So I mentioned Bradley and right away he went on about the Braves program and Molinari. He then asked for my Dad's mailing address and said he wanted to send him something. I had no idea... a week later my dad calls and says he got a signed picture by the players of the whole Lobo team.

So I kinda root for the Lobos at times.
