For the first time since the 2005-06 campaign, the Sycamores have won each of their first two games of the season, including their road opener as ISU earned a 71-59 victory over Louisiana-Monroe in front of 1,236 fans at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
Carl Richards with a double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds).

As someone noted in another thread, a team that goes with 7-8 guys will get gassed down the road. So if it's an issue with our Braves, it's just as much an issue with ISU-blue at this point.
I like our starting 5 (if you replace 2Yok with JE) over the Syc's, but maybe I'm biased. They definitely have the upper hand comparing PG play right now though.

One player is suspended for the first six games, one has a health issue and didn't make the trip, another had an ankle injury & didn't play and one was sicker than a dog the day before the game. Oh, the sick one was Carl Richards so he got a double-double and played hard anyway and the others mentioned would all be getting minutes if ready to go.

If you saw the game or checked the play-by-play, Sam was on the floor when Illinois played their best, and made their runs and pulled away from SIU-E. That's is really what matters to BW. He's a very valuable part of that team, and in a way, he is like a freshman in that he is learning a completely new system.
