Is anyone else having a problem with the audio on BU TV? I can watch the games without a problem but can not get sound. I have tried different PC's with no luck. I was wondering if it was a problem with the provider?
I don't know the answer, but here is a suggestion. The streaming audio from WMBD's website is delayed just about the time as the streaming video from BUBraves.tv. At least it worked for me the one time I tried it.
I also did not have sound for the Depaul game. I tried the radio feed, but for me it was several seconds in front of the picture, and seemed to get worse as the game went along.
I signed up for the bubraves.tv package for the first time this year.
Please straighten something out for me. Are we all having technical difficulties with the sound or do they simply not offer sound with the video?
If they don't offer sound with the video, I think that's lame and I'd like my money back (although I'm sure I'll just deal with it) [/b]
I had sound last night. It was much lower than the sound on the straight audio broadcast (I had to turn the browser sound and my PC sound all the way up), but I did have audio. I'd email tech support.
So my question is... is it worth it? My dad and I want to get this TV deal for the remainder of the season. How good is the picture? I don't expect it to be perfect but is it worth the money in subscribers' eyes?
I had the internet package last season and there seemed to be a ton of "tech" difficulties throughout the season either with sound or connection. It did get better towards the later part of the season.
Picture quality is decent but the audio was usually not there or if I was able to log into WMBD it could seriously lag behind.
Its not much money and is overall worth it simply to see BU more often then not, but I going more old school this season and simply listening to Coach and Dave.
I ordered the package this year and got it again last year. There were a lot of technical issues last year (including a couple games where it didn't work at all) and based on the lack of sound during the Depaul game, it doesn't look like they've fixed all the problems.
Nonetheless, I think it is definitely worth the $50 if you are an out-of-towner like me and otherwise are only going to be able to see the few nationally televised games. The picture quality isn't bad - on full screen mode it is a little blurry, but very watchable. I think it is actually a little better than last year.
I have went from calling my Dad over the years and having him put the phone down next to the radio for every game to getting the game over the internet listening to WMBD radio to at least getting to see the game with the new package. I agree there have been to many problems over the last three years with it but for a guy like me its a step in the right direction. I hope that in the next couple of years it will be like watching it on local TV. I do think the picture quality is a little better this year and they dont charge that much.
Okay so the video is decent. What about the audio? Is the delay even enough that I can listen to Dave and Coach on the online radio while still watching video?
