You can still see the one from 06-07 if you have B.TV and go back and watch one of those games. It was a great video.

I am all for just announcing the players. I think the point is to intimidate the other team, which I think wore off long ago.

The band was not there going through their motions of the same worn out songs in the same played out order every game every season every time.

Get off your high horse pal. Before you complain about the band, maybe you should pay a little more attention.

I've been to numerous events so far this year - the auction, red/white game, the exhibition at the RC (all events that the band has been at) and I've heard at least four or five new songs out of them.

Pretty sure they are playing Gaga, some Enrique Iglesias, and that Party Rock song - I know I've heard others, just can't name them off the top of my head.

So why don't you give it a rest and quit ragging on a group of students that (undeniably) add a ton to the atmosphere of BU Basketball. Without them, that place is dead. From top to bottom, the band is the loudest, most vocal group that attends the games, and in my opinion are incredibly under appreciated.

GO BAND!!!! Hopefully there won't be any more conflicts that keep them from attending.

As for the thread topic - the video sucked - I may be wrong but I think it had Nate Wells and Will Egolf in it. Not that it matters but those two don't get me pumped up at all since I know that they won't be playing this year.

It was poorly edited together and the puffs of smoke that came into screen looked funny and cheap. My wife said it that it made them look like they were passing gas because of where the smoke entered in relationship to where each player was standing.

BU could and should do WAAAAY better. I say bring back the '06-'07 video with updates from the last five years if we can't come up with something better.

THANK YOU! It seems as if this member is just on here to troll (albeit condescendingly) on certain aspects of BU Basketball. I've always been a fan of the band because they make up the largest section of the Student Section! Sure, sometimes some of the songs get old, but one of these days one or two of the songs will be engrained in BU history (IE Down the Line and Hike! Notre Dame) Just wait till we make it to the Final Four one of these years, suddenly everyone will love the march they play right before tipoff

EDIT: Not to mention Dr. Vroman (sp) is basically the leader of the Student Section!

How is class for an excuse? They had a concert...most likely scheduled well in advance of the basketball season.

As much as we would all like to think that basketball is the "end-all" at BU...it is definitely not the case.

So next time...BEFORE you GO ALL sporadic CAPITAL letters ON EVERYONE...maybe you should remember the timeless words of honest Abe, who said - "better to keep your mouth shut and thought a fool than open your mouth and prove it."
