???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
IMO, no need for an intro video to begin with. Turn down the lights, have the introductions the same way they are now. That has to pump the team up more than standing there waiting for the video and so called music to end.
Yeah, I agree, do what Notre Dame does, they don't even have a big screen! Just have the players run out of the tunnel with the lights out! haha
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!
Yah Intro video was actually better last year if that tells ya anything LOL. Intro video music and lineup intro music sucked big time as well.
I think the Athletic Department or whoever chooses these songs, needs to do a fan & player poll on what song they want in the intros.

I agree with everything you said here Jason. Video was an improvement from last year but PLEASE do something with the music. The music for the lineup and intro video almost put me to sleep. Athletic Department should do something creative like Jason said let the players pick the song or do some time of fan vote (we could have the vote right here on the #1 message board for Bradley Hoops!). Change the music and crank the sound up get the place loud. I could hear UMKC players yelling and getting excited more than I heard the music for the intro video, we can??™t have that!
It's like the people that are in charge of putting this stuff together have no idea what they are doing. They need an Intro video that incorporates some old footage(pictures of the famous 5 and stuff from that era, highlights from the 80's, deon jackson, some 2006 stuff, even show some of the old coaches, a shot of versace and then throw in Geno at the end.) with some new highlights of this years team. Preferably set to some hip-hop hype up song. I think they did something like this the year after the sweet 16 and it was the best one they have ever done. All Im asking is that they put some thought, time, and effort into it.
The problem is that the music is not pump you up/psyche you up music. The videos from 3-4 years ago were great because they used arena music that builds up from beginning to end and got you excited for the game. And the volume has been too low...they used to play it a lot louder.
I think this is excellent. YouTube doesn't quite do it justice. The video has great production quality and a nice acknowledgement of the past, rather than only focusing on the current team. The music blared through the Carver speakers and everytime the video ended, the whole arena cheered.
cuz the new basketball arena has an awesome big screen! Notre Dames basketball arena is the best arena under a 9,000 seat capacity in the world lol.
Wish we could move it to our campus.
Oh, yeah *blush* The only time I usually watch ND is during the Tournament and I usually only see the Arena during the Football pep rallies haha.
For starters.........Country music is the farthest from the sport of basketball music can get. It sounded like a terrible MNF intro song.
They also played country like 2 other times....during the game.
HEY! Hank Williams Jr. Got me pumped up every time the Bears played MNF!

I thought the video intros and music was as bad as they have ever been.
I think the video package should definitely incorporate BU's history.
Why not shots of the old buildings and the new facilities, pictures of past coaches and teams and then wrap up with images of the current coaches and team?
The music has to be way more up-tempo as well.

You can still see the one from 06-07 if you have B.TV and go back and watch one of those games. It was a great video.
I am all for just announcing the players. I think the point is to intimidate the other team, which I think wore off long ago.
