I feel like I can't even insult ISU over this one. I feel like I have a finite number of words I can write about them and anything more is overkill, and I don't want to use all my ammo up on day one.
I don't.... know what to say... Public vs. Private? (No... all the others won tonight...) Well it should be easy for those making the trip across 74 this year to fill up the arena and make it two BU home games
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!
Fresno is ranked near the bottom of the weak WAC conference...
and ISU shot well and scored 100 points in their exhibition!
This is a game that will hurt ISU and the Valley if they hope to get two bids...
Nic Moore had a fairly good game (4-9) but do you really want an offense where your point guard is launching more long range shots than anyone else on the team - as many as everyone else put together!
But one story from Fresno points out a possible coaching mistake by ISU - an ill timed time-out by Jank that actually hurt ISU...
".. it was Fresno State's turn to go 6:02 without scoring, which allowed the Redbirds to pull to within 48-47 on Moore's third 3-pointer with 1:26 left.
Illinois State immediately called timeout, but the Bulldogs seized the momentum to finish the game on a 7-0 run."
ISU was on a 9 point run, and had closed to 48-47....
then Jank called a time out!
Why?? Your team was hot & had all the momentum.
And the 47 points ISU scored against a bad team suggest they might have trouble scoring again this year, despite the big offensive output in their exhibition.

I have to agree about the unwise time out. Made no sense to me...
