ISU-Red is looking flat out terrible.
I have been tracking the game since the 15:00 mark of the 2nd half, and they had 36.
Now at 4:00 left, they have just 41.
Looks like they will struggle on the offensive end this year.
Been watching since the 7:30 mark.
Not much good to like about the 'Birds - Nic Moore looks very good - very sloppy play and no real go-to guy to score.
Rebounding is solid, as per usual, for ISU.
And the Redbirds go down in the first bad loss of the season for the Valley. Fresno St. 55, ISU 47
Maybe not a bad loss if ISU-red plays like this the rest of the season.
I will say that Missouri St. was rather impressive @ Nevada tonight.
I don't know the final yet, but the Bears were clawing the Wolfpack by 20+ in the 2nd half.
Sam Maniscalco with just 19 minutes played off the bench against Loyola tonight. Probably due to his ankle. Had 5 points, 2 boards and 3 assists. Looks like he'll probably be reserved to under 20 minutes a game if he even makes it that long during the grinding months of the season.
Remy Abell managed just 9 minutes off the bench in a 30 point blowout win. Had 4 points, 2 boards, 1 assist and a steal with no fouls. He was tied for 4th most minutes off the bench. I wonder if he wishes he went to BU and probably would be starting with 25-35 minutes a game. See how rest of season goes.
The Valley got the 3 required results it needed in the non-ISU games, so no need for day one panic.
Meanwhile, in your oblong box score of the day: Purdue 96, Northern Illinois 34
:O Anyone happen to have the Final of the Loyola-U of I game? Loyola soccer shocked the Horizon League beating top seed Valparaiso in the tournament tonight. Loyola is the six seed, no one expected them to do well and Valparaiso was the #1 as host. It was hilarious because Loyola was one of the teams I was thinking about transferring to. Maybe It's written in the stars now
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!
Meyers Leonard was the star of the game with 15 points, 2 rebounds, and 6 blocks off the bench. He was scheduled to be in the starting ineup, but was late for the shootaround.
Sam Maniscalco played 19 minutes off the bench (most for anyone off the bench exept Leonard) and scored 5 points (2-4 from the field), and had 3 assists, which was high for the Illini.
