University of Central Florida has received official notice of an NCAA investigation, and as they try to self-impose penalties to make it look like they are taking it seriously, their AD has resigned and their head basketball coach Donnie Jones has been suspended for a 3 whole games.
This has been brewing for over 6 months since the NY Times published a scathing article last April about the football and basketball programs at UCF being involved in some sleazy and potentially illegal recruiting schemes.
If I was a UCF fan, I would be worried, as the NCAA may look to make a sacrificial example of them since they are not one of the NCAA's favored ones.
