So, I am a new season ticket holder. I was pretty excited to get my tickets and see exactly where my seats were. The ticket office told me I was 6th row, on the corner (I requested section 4). I get my tickets and go to sit in them for the first time and one seat is 3 foot higher than the other and theres a 4 foot fence/railing separating them. I went to where others were picking up there season tickets and explained my problem, and they were very cordial and offered me replacement tickets for this game and said someone would contact me tomorrow. That was the best they could do, no problem with that.
The tickets I received however were far worse than the location of my season tickets, which was upsetting but there were plenty of empty seats near my assigned seats. My frustration is really that I called the day I found out I was moving back to the area for sure to get on the waiting list. The ticket office told me there wasn't a list yet, so I called about every 3 weeks until they took my name and number. I put down my deposit within the first week I could and picked out my seats the instant they offered them to me. Now, my concern is that not only has every other new season ticket holder picked out there seats, but single game seats are on sale which will make it next to impossible to get seats even close to the quality of the ones I was expecting. I'm pretty bummed that BU had no flag saying those seats weren't actually together and that this is my first experience as a season ticket holder for BU. I'll wait and see what happens tomorrow but I've got a feeling I'll be asking for a refund and I'll play it game by game with individual tickets. I'm really glad I hadn't made my Braves Club donation yet, as I can direct that to my department if I don't end up with season tix.
Has anyone else ever had a problem like this? How did BU resolve it? I'm sure BU will do whatever they can, I just don't think they are going to have many options.
