Before anyone takes me too seriously, I should have added a - I am getting old, but I was not around during the "swing era".
I don't think Lawrence Welk is available either. I do think a post game concert at an on campus game would bring in a lot of students if the right act was brought in to perform.
I thought about it after I wrote the comment, I think it'd be cool! I think we should be the first school to have a marching band at a soccer match as well. Could be really cool as we don't have football! I was thinking, if we actually had the Band of the Fighting Irish come, "Down the Line" could be fit to BU, as the Fight Song has "March right down the field" in it's lyrics hahaha.
Soccer fields would take some skill In HS, we always used the yard lines for positional reference. Even had yard lines on the parking lot for practice.
I've found the one entertainment that gets the crowd going is a giveaway for the fans. They should have 1 fan from every section compete in a 3 point shooting contest at both hoops. The winning fans section would get some sort of coupon.
10 contestants for each hoop at 1 minute a piece. That would be cutting it close to when the teams come back out but it would be fun to watch.
There should be some sort of penalty for those people who sit in the lower bowl and never seem to applaud anything that goes on while I'm with my family in the upper bowl cheering our butts off any feeling like we aren't heard. Maybe some sort of "best seats in the house" where those people are identified and have to give up their seat to someone who cares.
I don't know Canton -- you're going to get an argument from all those lifeless, grumpy fans with arms folded...
they're going to say that as fans who pay their money - that if they can gripe like they do on message boards then they also claim the right to sit in their seats and look perpetually miserable!
The games when I do get seats down low I feel as if I am bothering people with my enthusiasm. I stand and cheer when appropriate and feel like I am annoying somebody cause I am blocking their view. I just don't understand paying money to be there and look as if you were brought to the game against your own free will.
Ok, now that I've gotten that off my chest I will move on.

We got yelled at by some lady at the Notre Dame game (They have a sort of similar problem with rich alumni watering down the home field, but it's getting a LOT better). She told us to SIT DOWN during the kickoff (At Notre Dame Stadium if you're in a corner you have to keep standing up and sitting down to see ANYthing hahaha it's quite cool). We returned the kick about 10 yards and she was like "SEE! You stood up for nothing!". Some guy two rows down yelled "SHUT UP!" and everyone stayed standing
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!

T, I guantee you I and many, many others stand and cheer when necessary and cheer with the best of them, you included. I'm not lifeless, grumpy or look perpetually miserable with my arms folded and IMO you were out of line with your name calling of any fan who doesn't cheer as you think they should. I do pay my money and the only griping I see on this subject is from posters who think everyone should go about their cheering as they do. But I guess we're all not a 5 star fan as you are.
