  • Post Game Talk BU beats Wooster- 81-71

I don't know why but I like this team --
got no shooters, no post play, short on point guards, and don't defend well -- but we keep scoring in the 80's and come out on top..
Sometimes hustle and athleticism can win games

Trio propels Braves to preseason win, 81-71-
PEORIA, Ill. ? The trio of Taylor Brown (21 points), Dyricus Simms-Edwards (19) and Walt Lemon, Jr. (17) combined for 57 points, leading Bradley to an 81-71 win versus The College of Wooster Tuesday.

LOL!!! That description is funny tornado. I like this team too and can't wait to see how we step up against a higher level of competition.

Small flashes of good, large swaths of meh, some pieces of crappy.

I thought both teams on the floor looked like it was very early in the season.

I didn't see much of anything from NW tonight. It was like 5 on 4 when he was in the game.

I think a message is being sent to Hodges. Not sure what the message is.

I didn't even notice Milos wasn't there until i came home and read it on this board.

Sitting here listening to Snell and Geno on the postgame laud all over our team tonight. I gotta tell ya, I didn't see what they did. Sorry. Plenty of room for improvement.

Bradley 81 Wooster 71 - the second 10 point win in a row, but this game felt like Bradley had things in control most of the game.

As with the Parkside game, there were stretches where this team looked very good, and stretches where we play down to the level of the competetion. TB, DSE, and WL had great games. AT looked good in stretches, and Donivine Stewart played a lot of minutes in the second half, and it was no coincidence that Bradley's best stretch came with DS running the point in the secoind half when we stretches a couple point lead into a 15 point lead with 6 minutes left in the game.
Shayok did not get into the flow this game, and Jamel Crawford seemed a little out of sync, but that will happen with freshmen.

If anyone is thinking about buying tickets to see this team, it's worth it. They are very enjoyable to watch, and they'll continue to improve.
I have heard there are plenty of good tickets left for the UMKC game, and for the SEMO game at the Renaissance Coliseum.

Do we have stats for this game yet?
At least our guys' individual scoring totals?
            How was the FT shooting?

Hey he made 4-5 FTs, when was the last time a BU big man shot 80 percent from the line?

I think its going to be very flustrating watching this team grow. I think we have more talent then I thought we had but ladies and gentlemen we have alot of work to do. The good news is we have the pieces but its going to take some time. We are going to be fun to watch on the offensive end and sometimes clueless on the defensive end. Need to work on help defense, rebounding and free throw shooting. Nice to see WL make a few 3 point jumpers. Now we need to get JE to make a few and gain some confidence. A couple of my good friends missed this game as they were out of town and the country. They are both very defensive minded and will not enjoy this as much as I do.When this team comes together and understands what Geno wants we are going to be fun to watch. Get your tickets now.

I think the guy that kept sweeping the floor while the ball was in play got more rebounds than Nate Wells.

No offense but maybe they seen things you didn't because they know BB better then you do. I will admit I have no idea who are and maybe you have you just as much coaching experience at the college level as they do.
Now am I saying they are going to wind the conf? Not at all but they will be fun to watch and and to say this team wasn't very good that they played tonight look at Wooster's record and where they finished last year in DIII. They have the highest winning % of any team in the country during the 2000's.
I see lots of potential in a lot of players but maybe I look for the positives in the game and don't look for the bad but then that is just myself.
Will agree on one point and that is "plenty of room for improvement" but then GF would tell you that also. In fact that would go for any team playing BB unless you had no TO and never missed a shot-no team has ever done that yet.

I like the turnover differential- Bradley forced 20 turnovers, and were credited with 12 steals. I don't like the rebounding differential- Wooster won that 39-33, but with Jordan out, that's a little more acceptable. We still gave up too many easy inside buckets, but I am sure they'll work on that. Donivine Stewart again leads the team in assists in a lot fewer minutes than the other guards.

                          Attendance- 6797

                            ALOT!

Watching this team so far is better than the last two years. It is easy to be patient when the team has potential and is improving.

Just giving his opinion. Didn't see where he said Wooster wasn't very good.
