Next game: Tuesday 11/8 at 7PM at Carver Arena- BU vs. College of Wooster

Bradley plays a second exhibition game against College of Wooster Tuesday night (11/8/11) at 7 PM in Carver Arena. This game is part of the season ticket package, so we will see thousands more in attendance than were at the first exhibition game. It will be Wooster's first game this season.

College of Wooster, located in Wooster, Ohio, was the runner up to the Division III national champion last year. It was their 3rd time in the Division III Final Four, they were also there is 2003 and 2007. They are known as the Fighting Scots. They finished the season 31-3 last year and they are 311-54 in the last 11 years. They have won their conference, the NCAC, 16 times, including the 7 years in a row! And they have competed in the DIII NCAA Tournament 19 times, including the last 9 seasons in a row! They have had 15 consecutive 20-win seasons, and their total of 1,551 all-time wins is the second most among all Division III schools.
Despite the loss of several key players, they return enough talent from last year's team to be ranked 9th in the preseason DIII rankings.

The College of Wooster basketball team took a preseason tour of Scotland in mid August. They played 4 games on the 12 day tour and went 3-1.

This will be a good test for us and will give us a chance to see how much we have progressed since last Tues. night, hoping Geno plays more of the rotation he plans on using for the season opener.

I am hoping for a big crowd, but I expect there will be no-shows for an early season exhibition game against an unknown opponent. But even though Wooster is a Division III team, I think this will be a little better team than the Division II Wisconsin-Parkside team we faced last week.
I expect Geno to still use a lot of combinations and play virtually everyone. And as far as we know, Anthony Thompson should be able to play in this game, so we will see how much he can help as a backup to the big guys. That will help determine whether the coaches will redshirt Nate Wells.

Agreed 100% Da Coach. As I mentioned in the other thread. This will be a good test for BU. Wooster is very good and very well coached. Good exhibition challenge for the Braves.

I agree. When I looked at the two exhibition opponents' rosters a couple weeks ago I didn't really see much that would test our centers to the extent I would like.

Based on every other coaching staff I have worked with, I find it easiest to just go with the last game's starters. I just guess for the preseason games and will begin referencing Last Game Starters beginning with SEMO. Even if coaches aren't paranoid about listing their probable starters, things tend to change between the time the game notes are produced and tipoff.
