Predictions - Underrated, Overrated, Surprise and Disappointment

I like to call this "Predictions Sure to Go Wrong". Using the titles underrated, overrated, surprise, and disappointment, pick a player, team, coach, or anything else related to the Valley. Mine are based on a hunch, nothing more.

Underrated: Missouri State players not named Kyle Weems - remember the name Nathan Scheer

Overrated: Wichita State - Blair and Durley are going to be nearly impossible to replace and Toure Murry will again show minimal improvement from the previous season

Surprise: Marty Simmons wins coach of the year

Disappointment: Drake - Phelps last season at Drake will be marked by frustration from fans because once again, the individual parts will be better than the sum of the parts.

Underrated- Bradley's ability to score points
Overrated- all the juco players at SIU and ISU
Surprise- Creighton will run away with the MVC regular season
Disapppointment- WSU picked #1 or #2 by everyone, will struggle

Underrated- Missouri State--I think the Bears finish 3rd
Overrated- Indiana State--5th place finish
Surprise- Every single MVC coach will be back next year
Disapppointment- Drake will play on Thursday night and finish below one of the three Illinois schools for sure

Underrated: Missouri State. They're not as good as last year, but they are by no means a bad team.
Overrated: Indiana State. 3rd place last year and winning the MVC Tourney is great, I doubt they repeat that. I see a 4th or 5th place finish.
Surprise: In Geno Ford's fast pace offense, DSE and TB thrive and both make the MVC first team.
Disappointment: Drake. I think this team finishes in last place.

Underrated: Lets hope this one is BU! But specifically, Taylor Brown. Outside of Peoria, most people seem to have forgotten about Taylor. He'll prove his worth on the first team.

Overrated: Evansville will be play Thursday. Indiana State is a secondary here...

Surprise: TWO BIDS.

Disappointment: One of those bids will not go to Wichita State. Creighton will win the Valley, lose in the tourney, but still get a bid.

Underrated: Bradley. They will finish 6th or 7th while reestablishing their homecourt advantage and score more points under Geno's new offense than people expect.

Overrated: ISU red's non conference schedule. It's actually much worse than even most ISU fans believe!

Surprise: The Valley not only gets two NCAA bids, but one team will get in as a "First Four" team and make a run to the Final Four!

Disappointment: Wichita St. will again have to settle for the NIT, and hope they win it again this season.

Underrated: Taylor Brown (will be at least 2nd team All-Valley); Marty Simmons' ability to coach with what he's got

Overrated: Missouri St., Indiana St., Wichita St.

Surprise: All of the Illinois teams end up better than MVC pre-season predictions.

Disappointment: The Trees - ISU (blue) end up 5th or 6th in the Valley. Unfortunately for them, their smaller home crowds do not give them a big advantage, and they go slightly better than .500 at home in the Valley. Coach Phelps doesn't get it done as Drake finishes last in the Valley.
