  • Who will lead the MVC in rebounding this season?

Mamadou Seck was the leading rebounder last season in the MVC, so he would be one of the favorites this season. Doug McDermott, Kyle Weems, Carl Richard, Gregory Echenique, and Kenny Harris were all among the leaders last year and return this season. And Taylor Brown will probably be right up there too.
Here is a list of the leading rebounders in the MVC last year-

So who do you think will be the leading rebounder this season in the MVC?
    Mamadou Seck?
    Doug McDermott?
    Kyle Weems?
    Taylor Brown?
    Carl Richard?
    Kenny Harris?
    Gregory Echenique?
    Jordan Prosser?
    Jackie Carmichael?

Echenique is a Beast! It would be a shock to me if he doesn't dominate the boards.

But last year his teammate McDermott was a better rebounder than Echenique. Is he that much better this year?

I believe Echenique was coming off an injury and a year of inactivity. I would expect this year for him to hit his stride and for McD to focus more on his all-around game. I almost went with McD but Echenique is so HUGE and comes with so much hype..... You might also see the two take rebounds away from each other which would then open the door for someone like Seck. What about Stutz? We could see him up there as well if he continues his improvement.

I agree that there are several other players who could emerge as good rebounders this season such as Stutz or Jake Koch at UNI. But I don't think Stutz will even be the top rebounder on Wichita State. Junior College transfer Carl Hall was one of the top rebounders in junior college last year.
I don't see anyone who isn't on the list averaging enough to lead the league, though.

I think because he is so well rounded McDermott might not lead the league in any one category but be top 3 in a lot of them, and be a solid POY candidate.
