Here was another exhibition game from last night, though not an MVC team-
UNLV beat Washburn, but it was very close all the way. UNLV trailed 21-20 at halftime, they were tied with under 5 minutes remaining, and pulled away in the final minutes to win 58-50. What ever happened to the "Runnin' Rebels"?
Their slogan for 2011-2012 is "Let's Run!". The Las Vegas Sun described it as "ugly, gritty"

One non-MVC exhibition from last night--
Marshall beat Northern Kentucky in a pretty close game 65-55...after trailing by 5 at half..and by as much as 11 thru much of the 1st half...
and one time BU prospect, the well-traveled Robert Goff..
came off the bench for Marshall and hit only one bucket but was a rebounding machine - grabbing 10 boards in 23 minutes and had 5 blocks

Alot of MIAA schools playing the Valley in exhibitions this year. Truman State(my alma mater) has already played Missouri St.(lost by 31) and goes to Indiana State this weekend after losing to Mizzou tonight by 39.

It looks to be another tough year in the MIAA for the bulldogs if Washburn, who is normally a middle of the pack program in the conference, could give UNLV all it could handle.....

I dont care about the level of play, Im just excited basketball season is HERE!!!!

Also, DC Missouri St. hosts Emporia St.(Kansas) Nov. 19 in Springfield.

Yes they do. However, that game is not an exhibition game. That is a regular season scheduled game for Missouri State against D2 Emporia State.

Missouri State does play 3 exhibitions this year, one more than the NCAA allows. They already played games against Truman State (10/27) and William Jewell (10/29), and they were granted a waiver in order to play a 3rd exhibition game Saturday, 11/5 in Joplin, Missouri against Missouri Southern for the prupose of raising money to help tornado victims in Joplin.
