I haven't seen anyone here refer to DS as the next Derrick Rose.
Nobody has come close to that. This entire thread was simply a statement of relief that DS does not appear to be a "wasted scholarship" as some have suggested.

Donivine is a gym rat... When he was in HS, I did more than a few of his games... hardly ever saw the kid without a basketball in his hands... Is a good student of the game...
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

I don't think I've ever been a disbeliever in DS, have I? In fact, I've defended the kid quite a bit. If I've ever said anything negative it was that he appears a little slow and unathletic on video I've seen of him (some said the same about Les or Maniscalco). If DS develops along those same lines I'll be very happy..... I hope he does!

DS will love reading this stuff

Glad to see everyone talking about DS, especially those that wonder, that will motivate him. As I am sure you all know, the players do read this board. So lets try to not go overboard and support the players, remember they are young men, So lets try to show support and keep The comments positive.
Bottom line is he made a good impression in his first DI game, even if it was an exhibition against a DII school.
Donivine, if your reading this, just be yourself and play your game, many BU fans believe you will have a fine career as a Brave !!! Thanks for staying in Peoria

              Donivine Stewart

From the WMBD radio account, it sounded like DS was matched against their best player (Mauk)?
I am encouraged with the results. Not so much the scoring more the lack of TOs against what
              sounded like a crafty veteran...

There was quite a bit of switching on defense. But most of the time on offense Donivine appeared to be guarded by Leneal Harris, who was possibly their best player.

i am not a coach by any means, but what i have seen from DS is that he will have his struggles on the defensive end. But at the same time he should be good for a couple of steals every now and then. He is able to see the court before a play develops and puts himself in the right position. If Geno can coach him into using his offensive skills and ability to see the floor on the defensive end, watch out. He will be a good one.
