I thought once we got rid of JL and threw over $1mil to rebuild the coaching staff - that the negativity was going to be gone?

Nate Wells is going to be ok. Lets not change paths and lets reshirt him. Big guy in year 5 is better than big guy in year 1.
Milos....goodness who made the decision to recuit him.
1. Re: "Incredibly neutral"-- My point with this has been all along that we overpaid for Geno's services. I have no idea how good or bad of a coach he is. Last night increased my doubt factor concerning Geno. Stating that he wants Walt to play PG when he is clearly better as a 2 guard heightens my concern. That being said, I want Geno to take us to the NCAA championship game so I am not neutral on where I want the program to go with Geno or any Bradley coach for that matter.
2. True players win games, but coaches cater to players strengths to allow the player to be in position to win games.
3. Very much agree with Wells. Bite the bullet and give him the redshirt. It is in Wells' and BU's best interest.Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

Waited until today to post and cannot believe how much is expected in such a short time, give the coaching staff time with these guys and we will see a better team, I thought we looked better on offense because the players did a better job in moving and screening, those of you who thought Taylor would not be as good because of the year off were wrong, like to see him get more shots , D.S. looked great and played above expectations, Jake was himself in getting rebounds and scoring , J.P. needs to start making freethrows as we cannot go inside more if he struggles at the line, S.S. played like it was his first game, he will be much better, DSE and Walt need to play under control a little more and not make bad passes, they should be ok after a few more games, M.K. cannot guard and the only way he should be in is when we play zone defense, 2 fouls in 3 minutes not good, J.C. looks like he will be a good player and just needs time, overall I thought it went ok in that last year we had a similiar game against Quincy in that they made a bunch of 3 pointers and made just about every free throw but we lost that game because we had trouble scoring , we did not have any trouble scoring last night and we did something that has not happened in a long time, we grabbed offensive rebounds.
I like this coaching staff a lot and look forward to seeing how much better this team improves week to week.

Of course the responsibility is shared among everyone, as you say. And, the coach makes the big bucks so he is ultimately responsible for the program. However the players play. I think coaches can change programs over a few year period--but it's not something that happens overnight.

I think t's post was extremely accurate.

OK, lets please allow posters to state their opinions without always challenging those you don't agree with and demanding they prove their assertions, or produce examples. This board is more harmonious because our rules ask that posts be directed toward the topic, and not at other specific posters.
And by the way- can anyone help me out here, I have asked several friends what they think, and nobody seems to understand the title of Dave Reynolds' article this morning-
Braves separate vs. UW-Parkside
http://www.pjstar.com/bradleyhoops/x...vs-UW-Parkside
I know Dave usually doesn't have anything to do with titles, but what exactly is meant by "separate"- is it a verb? or is it an adjective? and what is it referring to? I have followed basketball and sports for 50 years, and I have never seen the word "separate" used in a title about a game (unless it is referring to a loss of a body part?).

Bradley lead by only a single point AT HALF
Game was tied with 10 minutes left IN THE GAME
With just under 4 minutes to play IN THE GAME (3:43) Bradley led by only 5 points.
Bradley's biggest lead of the game was only 12 points.
It was the first exhibition of the year so I wouldn't worry at all about any of this. That being said though, UW-Parkside was brutal last year and they were picked last in their conference (regardless of 2 divisions, that's not good).

I don't think there's much doubt that Coach Les did everything in his power as a coach to win and do what's best for Bradley. The way he approached situations was done the way Jimmy operates - things just didn't go his way toward the end. Both Jim and Geno leave everything on the floor when it comes to coaching - at least that's how I see it. They both should be commended for the passion they exude toward basketball and toward the student-athletes, and for putting 110% toward the program.
Now...let's just drop the coaching comparison and enjoy the ride that we're currently on, and quit stomping your foot on the floor (just lightening the mood a bit)

WL's stroke is pretty sweet - I'm not sure why everyone questions his stroke.
Would like to see DS log 20 min. per game at PG - he will learn more and more with each experience - why not??
Looking at the box score, if we make 8 more FT's we win pretty handily.
Look for a little crisper performance next Tuesday. A win - albeit an exhibition win, is good for the team.
Great to see TB back to form...and getting better!
I think Geno has a "killer instinct" plan to win some games with blow-outs
