TB is headed for a super senior season. If his drlve & attitude are steady, we're talkin' 1st team...and I think he is in a good place right now.

BU outrebounds UW-Parkside 45-31- it has a lot to do with hustling and our athleticism advantage.

I had fun, this looks like it's going to be a fun season, even though we may not win a lot. I hope we see a bigger crowd at the Civic Center for the next exhibition.
Nice to see over 200 people online here- This site is and always has been the greatest! Thanks guys for all the info on the team, games, and recruiting- I love this place and I love the input from all the fans!

Well just call me a negative Nellie, but what I saw tonight was nothing short of a cr@pfest! Going into this, I wasn't expecting miracles, but I was certainly expecting more than was shown tonight! I wanted to see this team at least display a purpose on the floor and show signs that they knew where they belonged on the floor! This team had no clue on the offensive and defensive side of the ball for very long stretches of the game. Defense was terrible.... Rebounding slightly better.

Someone...anyone explain to me why Walt should be our PG! I would love to hear the reasoning!!!

Walt should be our 2 guard, with DSE at the point for now. If we make that adjustment, Walt will have a big year for us!

If there was any doubt about whether or not to redshirt Nate Wells, the answer from tonight is a resounding YES to a redshirt. Nate and the program will be better off for redshirting.

Can someone explain to me why we put DSE back into the game after the injury scare late in the second half? If this were a regular season game, I could understand this. Even if DSE was cramping up, why risk injuring DSE by him making an awkward move in an EXHIBITION GAME! SMH!!!!!!

Nice game from TB and DS. I am not ready to anoint DS as the starting PG, but it was nice to see Stewart distribute the ball tonight and I like his outside shot.

Jake was his usual scrappy self. I would love to see him make some threes!

Geno, I have been incredibly neutral about your hiring. From what I have seen from your first game as a Bradley coach, I want a refund on my ticket!

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

JC -- good observation -- a nice BU win and over 200 people online after the chat and 50 of them are registered users...

and I have watched Donivine Stewart play since he was in 5th grade...he is solid and consistent -- this is not a flash in the pan
Not saying he's all-conference - he has improvement to make but he did prove some doubters wrong but understandable they are unwilling to admit it and are crowing about how he hasn't proved a thing

FTR- Dyricus' injury was simple cramping of his calf muscle. There was no danger to putting him back in the game. It was Oked by the trainer, and the team doctor, so I assume they know how to handle those things.

I agree 110% with everything I quoted of yours above. I thought we looked terrible tonight, I was pining for the weave by the end of the night, at least it was some semblance of an offense. Your final statement though, I can't agree with at all, no way you can judge Geno based off one exhibition game whatsoever.

Beninator is right about the sloppy play. And I heard the coach talk about that on his show. They will watch the tape and work on the problems. But I think most of the sloppy play comes from the numerous combinations of players playing and the frequent substitutions. They have only been practicing for 2 weeks and we have a lot of new players. I liked what Nate Wells can give the team, he just needs to learn how to block without fouling.

My point is that this team was not prepared to play this game albeit an exhibition game. I understand that there will be sloppy play and missed rotations, and that we are throwing a lot of young players out there. But a lot of our players had no clue as to their assigned duties on the floor. I blame the staff on that and hope to see improvement in this area by the next game.

You are aware this is a roster from a team that finished in last place last season, lost three starters, and has an entirely new system in play correct??? And it was the first game of the season??

                          Tough crowd

                            Story from BradleyBraves.com-
PEORIA, Ill. ? Taylor Brown led all players with 25 points and eight rebounds and helped the Bradley to an 87-77 exhibition men's basketball victory versus Wisconsin-Parkside Tuesday night.

I saw Coach Kevin Eastman at the game tonight. He had to be happy and proud to see Jake start tonight, and have a great game.
Jake's value to this team is easy to underestimate, but he had 13 points and 8 rebounds (tied for team high) including 5 offensive board in just 25 minutes of playing time. And he guarded UW-P's big men all night and only recorded 1 foul.

Good point. Its obvious Jake will play a lot of minutes. If he can become a threat from the three point line he would bring added value. Good for him.
