As I understand it, the next project will be a dome for all of the outside sports (soccer, baseball, softball, etc...)
I have heard rumors of the coaches wanting something like this, but where would it be located? There isn't room close to the other athletic facilities.
Bradley could buy that farmland for sale by the Walmart on Allen Rd LOL. I think they already use the River City health club in that area for indoor track events and tennis I do believe.

I think the old track area at Shea Stadium would be ideal. Obviously, something would have to be worked out with the USDA to use their parking during soccer matches.

This location is the rumor floating around among contractors.

Jason
I think Bradley already owns a lot of farmland north of town (due to estate donations) I know there is some near 91.
So this "dome" would it be like an arena dome for the soccer matches? It would have to be a larger capacity than Shea Stadium I would imagine.
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!
i believe before we will see the dome, we will see the Engineering Business Convergence Center, a new student center, and new or renovated dorms
I sure hope so, those are all far more neccessary than a dome. BU has athletic facilities that far outclass comparable schools already. BU's Bread and Butter, engineering and business majors, are using facilities that were out of date 20 years ago let alone now. Jobst is literally 7 different buildings stuck together. Baker is two buildings stuck together. Bradley needs to invest in the students who will be investing back into Bradley, and by-in-large, those tend to be Engineering and Business grads (not saying that's all, but it is very much the majority). Also, tons of studies show that dorms are on of the top priorities for incoming students and Bradley's Dorms are incredibly out-dated. IMO BU needs to start focusing the spending on students, they've spent enough for Alums.
