Maybe Remy initially wanted to play at BU for a chance to be on the same floor as all-time college basketball legend Sam Maniscalso.

Who is Sam Maniscalso? Sorry TPS had to take the low road. It's Maniscalco

You saw right FWO. I watched the game and it was close until Abell was put on the bench.... He was a HUGE liability on defense and contributed nothing at all in the second half. IU's run at the end of the game can be directly attributed with Crean benching Abell and playing his best players. And Zeller was a beast!

its amazing how different people see different things...saw many thoughts about Remy's game last night and most if not all of them were that he played well and deserves more playing time as a result...guess we will see how Crean feels about Remy's game in the next few weeks...

Zeller is a beast though...he is going to take Meyers Leonard to school.

Or to be more accurate.....how he feels about his game the next few years. You will find out right away if Tom Crean recruits over him.

Come now..what coach does NOT recruit over current players..or at least tries... ? That certainly is no way to see what a coach thinks about a player...

Disagree. But no biggie. I'm done talking about a kid who plays for Indiana.

Always fun to read the woulda, coulda, shoulda re retaining the previous Coach and all the 'fallout' from the change..

Kinda reminds me of the woulda, coulda, shoulda, re retaining Coach Mo and all the 'fallout' from his replacement by our previous Coach in 2002.

Does anyone seriously doubt the 2002-03 BU Team would have been better than JL's first year if Mo was allowed to stay and with the following 'Mo' players:

                    2002-3 Mo's Marauders --------
                    Stewart, Michael C 6-8 235 Sr.
                    Faulknor, Jason F 6-7 225 Jr.
                    Gillingham, James G 6-4 200 Jr.
                    Robinson, Marcello G 5-11 178 Jr.
                    Gilbert, Phillip G 6-3 So.
                    Granger, Danny F 6-8 220 So.
                    Suggs, Mike G/F 6-6 197 So.
                    Tisby, Antoine F/C 6-8 237 So.
                    Tucker, Joah F 6-5 20 So.

Talk about "fallout", BU lost Granger, Tisby, and Tucker with the replacement of Mo.

If not for the knee jerk replacement of Mo (who only had 1 Senior on his 2001-2 team) our former Coach wouldn't have been our former Coach!

It ultimately turned out to be the best move for BU to hire JL.

I am pretty sure it will ultimately turn out to be the best move for BU to hire GF.

Please no more talk about "fallout" or how BU would have been better with JL for one more year, or how we will have to wait 3 more years for success.

We have seen this sitauation before with the Mo->JL transition. BU had a lot of fallout with this transition and 3 years of frustration before the 2005-6 miracle!

agree completely - yet it simply reiterates the fallacy of some peoples' motives...and lack of patience..
I personally know numerous people who were the VERY ones that made phone calls, wrote letters, and lobbied to get MO out - then turned right around and grumbled within a couple years about the next coach until they got him out, too...

I am guessing those people are pretty miserable in every aspect of their life then. That's too bad for them.

I am encouraged to see you say that -- BU fans, like Americans in general have plenty to be thankful for, satisfied with, and optimistic about...
there just isn't enough time in life to spend it grumbling so much........

Agreed 100%. I'm not a big fan of the Negative Nellie types. I realize I am one of the very fortunate ones in the world to have a good job, great friends, great family and my health. Give me a roof over my head, food on my table and a support group and I have nothing to complain about.

Certainly I wish every American/Human could be as fortunate as myself....hopefully we are moving closer towards that goal.

agree - but you don't have to travel very far (Haiti, Mexico, Africa..) to know that even the poorest among Americans is still lavishly wealthy by much of the world's standards

Actually Haiti and Africa are a long way away but I get your point
