  • Preseason profile of Indiana's Remy Abell

A longtime IU blogger evaluates each player- Today he posted a preview of Remy Abell-
It’s time for Inside the Hall’s player-by-player breakdown of the 2011-2012 Indiana Hoosiers. Today: Remy Abell. Austin Etherington was Tom Crean’s first recruit of the 2011 class. The Hamilton Heights product was also well known to IU fans for his ...

Corazza's "Worst Case Scenario" for RA should be modified to:

'Abell struggles to adjust in limited minutes and fails to have much of an impact for the Hoosiers in his freshman campaign instead of being 1st team all MVC or MVC Freshman/Newcomer of the Year" logging major minutes at BU for first year head coach Geno Ford"

RA may learn his first important lesson in life, the grass may not always be greener on the other side of the fence.

I said it before and I'll say it again. I really like the two guys we got to replace Abell when he chose to disrespect BU. In the end, I think both Shayok and Crawford will have better college careers than the kid who punked BU and shot his sights higher than his ability.

And as I think you know, you are in the minority with that opinion. Most reasonable fans realize a whole lot changes for a high school kid when the coach that recruits him is forced out and the coach that replaces him is someone he has never met or does not seem to want him as badly. I certainly don't consider that Remy disrespected or punked Bradley.

I take pride in being in the minority and siding with the often unpopular school of thought...... I often find I'm right when I do.

Of course I could just be a.......

As you can see I'm big on images today.

I agree in that why would a player sign with a mid-major where he more then likely would be a star in a short time and then decide to go to a bigger school that really did not recruit him from the start and think they all of a sudden believe he will make a difference for them other then a role player, I also thought he chose Bradley because it was a smaller school, I hope he does well but there is no way Indiana believes he will be a star player for them.

Shouldn't this have been posted on the Indiana board?
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

If I was recruited to a school by a coach who got fired and then got a bigger offer......duh people.

If we all wish we had RA....then we would need to wish we still had JL....

I thought we still had JL - since there's people still blaming him for everything they can think of -- even blaming JL for why BU got 10th in the preseason poll ??
Who will they stop blaming first -- George Bush or JL?

We wouldn't need to wish we had JL.

We need to wish we had a coach that, when dropped off in a stud recruit's living room, could land him.

I'd rather have a coach that wins consistently and brings us an MVC title and multiple NCAA appearances. I'm hoping we FINALLY have that guy now; it's been a LONG time, brotha.

Yeh that has to be tough to come in and try to keep a recruit that has had someone in his ear...telling him how he can do better...and since that coach is no longer there, no reason th stay...Geno was in a no win situation there...I have to think Remy had already decided...
