Maybe this whole Bob Knight thing is building up to his taking over the all time lead in wins, but as some articles seem to point out, WHO CARES?
This story points out that for the win that pushed Knight into 2nd place, his 877th, the arena was only half filled.
"Knight's moving to No. 2 on the wins list apparently wasn't a big attraction in Lubbock. Only 8,645 of the 15,098 seats in United Spirit Arena were filled"
Also Bob Knight has been particularly harsh on the fans and students in Lubbock, calling them out in the press for showing up in such small numbers.
